Collector here, fan of everything Pokémon since ‘98. My son and I rip ASC, PFL and DRI.
Was at my local Pokémon vending machine and ran into a guy with his son who was looking to snag some cards. I hit for a couple single packs, JTG and DRI, and it was dispensing as the two of them came up. I waited for the refresh to see if they would get anything but everything remained “sold out”. As I was walking away I could hear the tremble in the little boys voice; he was SO upset. I stopped in my tracks, turned around and decided to give the boy the two packs I was able to get my hands on; free of charge. The Dad tried giving me a $10 but I refused; I told him I’d want someone to do the same for my son.
Fast forward into next day, I walked into my local Target (not even looking for Pokémon cards because it was not a normal restock day) and saw that they had EVERYTHING.
I got:
1 mega meganium ex box
2 first partners
1 ASC pin collection
1 ASC booster bundle
2 PFL portfolios
2 sleeved MEG’s
1 prismatic mini tin.
I was beside myself. I’ve NEVER seen anything like this at MSRP, EVER!
I’m now a firm believer that karma exists!!!
Side note - I originally tried to post this with a picture of the magical items I was able to get from the karma I received but the post was pulled for violating rules; it was stated that I was posting about a store haul. My intention was more to share a heart warming story rather than gloat and I hope it comes across correctly this time around!
