Insanely frizzy hair? Help!
I've had short hair for like 10 years at this point and I've been growing it out and I noticed that the hair on the back of my head is wavier than the front (front is 1c, back I'd say would count as wavy when well taken care of) but, that means I struggle with caring for it properly. if I treat it as straight it does this ↑, gets very rough and frizzy (the rest of my hair does too but not to this extent) I've tried using leave in conditioner and oils but it feels like it doesn't help as much as it should. I know there's also damage on that area of my head but I don't get why? if it's from tight ponytails wouldn't the rest of my hair look like this too?
I've heard that switching to a satin pillowcase could help, is that true? or is this a technique/product issue?
right now I use a cocoa butter shampoo, Elvive hydrating mask and a hydrating conditioner from a brand I don't remember. I don't blowdry or heat style.
