How did you discover what you’re truly good at?
Hello guys
I’ve been thinking a lot about my life lately, and honestly, I feel a bit lost professionally.
I’m 29 years old, and a few years ago I left my home country to look for a better quality of life and better opportunities. Thankfully, many parts of my life are actually good. I have a great relationship with my family, an amazing relationship with my girlfriend, and overall I’m very grateful for the people around me.
My main struggle is with my professional life and finding my direction.
I feel like I’m reasonably good at a few things and I usually learn new things pretty quickly. I have interests, curiosity, and some skills that are probably a little above average. But no matter what I try, after some time I start feeling bored or disconnected from it.
I’ve never found that one thing that makes me think: “This is what I’m really good at.” “This is what I want to focus on.” “This could become a career, a business, or something meaningful.”
Sometimes I feel stuck because of that. I see people who seem to have found their passion or purpose, while I keep jumping from one interest to another without feeling fully connected to any of them.
So I wanted to ask: Has anyone here gone through something similar? How did you discover what you were truly good at, or what gave you purpose? Did it happen naturally over time, or did you actively search for it?
I’d really appreciate hearing other people’s experiences.
