I'm hoping there's a website or convention i can attend. I just don't want to depend on Amazon's algorithm to find readers.

My newsletter hovers around 1200 -1500 subscribers. The vast majority of them are from Bookfunnel swaps and group giveaways.
Here's the thing. My newsletter doesn't generate any sales. I may get 5 sales off it a year. I'm wondering if I need to revamp what I'm doing, or do the people who subscribe from bookfunnel only sign up because they're looking for freebies?
Whenever I include a freebie promo, it gets the most clicks by a mile, but that's to be expected.
If you're getting consistant sales from your newsletter, how many subscribers did you have when you started seeing consistent sales?

I just uploaded my first 2 cards to collectr. It's not much, but it's a start. I'm getting into this because my 5 yr old son is really into it and we've been ripping packs, watching the shows and movies, and he's been putting cards into his binder. It's so much fun, I figured I'd try and grow my collection into something with some value.
My plan is to start off buying raw singles and then trading them into bigger cards and then hopefully getting some sealed product. I used to do a lot of sports card collecting so this isn't totally foreign to me.
I'd love to hear how you all started. Please don't use this as a chance to flex. I'm sure some folks started by dropping 10 stacks on sealed. That won't be me. Lol. I'm hoping to hear some strategies that you used to build your collections/portfolios.
