Soft Knits Only Please

Obviously we know it's common with autism and even ADHD to have specific sensory needs but I just realized I have one that has cost me a lot in clothing. 🤣

I'm purging my closet of career wear and as usual have all these beautiful things that fit and looked good but I just never wore so I asked myself why, and realized they are all woven fabrics. Polyester blends that are soft aren't the right kind of soft. The ones like satin are just weird. I think I never realized this before because they cause discomfort versus something like a turtleneck where I feel like I'm suffocating.

I wish I'd had less noise in my head all these years so I could have realized this, I would have saved a small fortune. 🤣

Don't get me started on things that freak me out:

Watches

Any neckline but V neck

Waistbands with no give

Necklaces

Wide leg pants

Clothes that make noise

Let's hear some of yours!

Humidity Options

I recently got my first nepenthed plants, a Black Miracle and a Sarracenia pitcher. I've been keeping humidity at 64 but have to get it down to 50.

I know misting is an option but I was wondering if anyone has tried something like tenting with a plastic bag at night.

I've also got calatheas and am never satisfied with misting them so I'd like to try those too.

A creator I follow posted about a bad cat bite and i made a comment about cat scratch fever, but using the proper name, Bartonella. Well of course some lovely person assumed I had the wrong word and intended to say Bordatella, or Kennel cough.

"Bordatella is a dogs disease, cats less than 5% have it"

I advised her to google Bartonella. She doubled down and got nasty.

"Apparently you need to use the correct version of google and also a vets office OK whatever haha 😂 not like i haven't done animal rescue for five years of my life, but OK sure discount me as if google is on fire sale 🤣 enjoy that fire sale by the way"

I laid it out for her how she had mistaken the words and said: still time to delete this. 10 minutes later she did.

Not laying into her took tremendous strength. 🤣

When diagnosed in 2024 I was sent to the Valley GI clinic. They never let me see a doctor, just an ARNP who just said don't eat gluten. I waited a month to see a nutritionist who said don't eat gluten. I asked about protein shakes without dairy and sat there while she looked on Amazon. I went vack to the ARNP when I was having trouble tolerating a necessary medication and she said just stop taking it.

I'm fed up with trying as they've never told ne anything I couldn't find on my own or seemed to care one iota. Is there a GI specialist in the Seattle area that will do better?

I found a Designer who takes legit luxe bags apart to make pet accessories. I ordered a leash and collar set for my dogs, about $500. No problem.

I then asked her to cut an attached pouch on an LV tote and add a wristlet, $100. No problem.

Now comes the hard bit. The designer probably thinks I have more money than I do and I've been very "I trust your judgment" with her.

My dogs have custom harnesses that fit their car seats so I asked her to add some material to make them better go with their leash and collars. We discussed her adding fabric. That's it.

A few weeks go by then suddenly she tells me it wasn't working and she ended up just making 2 new harnesses. FOR $275 EACH. She just committed me to $550 but never asked.

I feel like I gave her the impression it would be ok but still she should have asked. I don't want to pay for the new harnesses I didn't ask for. WIBTA if I refused to pay?

Any recommendations? Sadly after 9 years the care at Reber Ranch has declined to where I must move on. However I'm not working right now so I also need it to be reasonable. I've been to lake meridian before but they are wicked expensive and always want every possible test.
