Improper shutdown resulted in DSM being inaccessible and I have no idea how to fix it.
My DS220j was powered off yesterday morning and, when powered on, had a consistent flashing green Disk light for a good while. When attempting to connect to DSM I was able to access an extremely slow front page to enter my login info, but even after hours of waiting I was unable to get through to the device. When I returned to the device a little after, it had an amber Disk light so I left it overnight to rebuild and fix itself. Come to this afternoon where it looks perfectly fine but any http connection requests either time out or result in a Synology "Sorry, the page you are looking for is not found" error (the first on my PC and phone with Firefox, the second on a family member's Win10 machine using OperaGX).
Now here's the confusing bit:
- The device **is** responding to pings.
- The device is **refusing** every SSH attempt instantly.
- The device **is** accessible via our PS4's Media Player and can find *most* folders, but is unable to play any media (acting like corrupt files or an incorrect format).
What can I actually do here? If a reset is required, is it possible to pull the disk out first and access the data on it at a later date if it isn't completely borked?
