Removing the tutorial mission was a huge mistake

First off, it was one of the most memorable things in STW, and instantly hooks you by how unique it is. Second, its removal has been detrimental to the new player experience. Many of them have no clue what they're doing because half of the basics are simply never explained to them.

Epic said they removed it "to get new players into public missions ASAP." The tutorial was only 10-15 minutes long!!! There's no way they removed such an important part of the game for such an insignificant reason. If they thought new players couldn't wait to play with others, why not simply give them an option to skip the tutorial?

What could be the REAL reason for the removal? I just cannot wrap my head around this decision for the life of me.

Is this a normal defender?

I just played a mission in STW with replenishment and someone had this guy as a defender and another woman (defender) with the epic games logo. Do you know what that's like? I've never seen anything like that in Save the World before.

Important, folks, I only saw this yesterday: a collection of books

This is new; you can't research the blue weapon or get it with a voucher. You have to complete the Save the World tasks in Battle Royale to get the blue weapon and add it to your collection book. There's no other way. Do it while it's still available; I think many people haven't even noticed it in the collection book

under the weapon.

“evolution reset ticket”

logged in after 5+ years for the free-to-play update and was awarded with a weapon reset for my nocturno. I was ecstatic because previously I made the mistake of choosing the obsidian/brightcore evolution instead of sunbeam. hopped on tonight to reset it but the prompts are incredibly misleading. instead I accidentally supercharged it, ruining my only chance to fix it. I’m absolutely deflated. I want to bang my head into a desk. despite reading that support doesn’t reverse “player decisions” or “schematic mistakes” I attempted to reach out anyway with no luck.

I don’t understand for the life of me why epic can’t add a system or option to reset the evolution path on your weapons. I know i’m not the only one who’s made a mistake like this or realized down the line that a certain build is better than another.

I’m not asking to be able to reset everything whenever I want with no limits, but I absolutely think it would be nice to be able to have a resource/book you could collect and use to do so or even a reset ticket every so often like refunds are handled in BR.

I think it’s crazy that we’re 8-9 years in and havent seen a feature like this implemented. would like to hear everyone’s thoughts and opinions on this.

A tip for newer players: Why you should focus on Ventures to speed up your progression

Hello everyone!

If you are new to Save the World and feeling stuck or progression feels slow, I wanted to share a piece of advice that helped me out a lot: don't sleep on Ventures.

It might look like just another game mode, but it is actually the fastest way to accelerate your growth in the main game.

Here is why:

Independent Progression: Your Ventures Power Level is completely separate from your main campaign level. This means that even if you are a low-level player in the main game, you can grind through the Ventures questline to reach high-level missions (up to PL 140!).

Access to High-Level Rewards: By accessing these higher-level missions, you get rewards that you wouldn't normally be able to touch until much later in the main campaign, including legendary heroes, survivors and schematics.

The Evolution Materials: This is the big one. You will be flooded with Rain, Lightning in a Bottle, Eye of the Storm, and Storm Shards. This is the biggest bottleneck for new players when trying to upgrade Heroes, Survivors, and Schematics.

Faster Power Scaling: Because the Ventures progression is streamlined (you don't have to worry about managing complex survivor squads), you can climb the ladder much faster than you would in the base game.

Spending some time in Ventures early on will make your Homebase progression much smoother and less of a grind. If you’re struggling to level up your gear, hop into the current Venture season and reap the rewards!

Hope this helps some of you out there. See you in-game!

A tip for newer players: Why you should NOT focus on ventures to speed up your progression.

Downsides:

- You get no crafting materials.

- You won't learn the game fast enough to keep up with higher level missions.

- You need a good hero loadout and traps, i.e., you'll be hoping others do the work for you, as, after a certain point, you'll be just leeching, and that's assuming you even find people to play with frequently.

- Ventures reset each season, requiring you to do all that awful ~~leeching~~ grind again.

Honestly, just play the game like a regular player.

There's no point where the grind legitimately feels like a wall. If you lack a material, you just go ahead and grind for it. It's pretty simple. There's no easy way out. It's a grindy game.

Play long enough and you won't even bat an eye at the materials required to upgrade or craft stuff anymore.

I'd probably recommend ventures if you already have access to at least key lv106 traps.

The reason l believe we lost defenders pads

On YouTube there are glitch videos that show how to do a no build storm shield and endurance by placing a defender pad over a spout and using it to add endless defenders 100 or so, then the creatures can't move. Hundreds of players were liking and commenting they used it . I don't see how that could be fun, as l loved building my storm shields.

Flingers, Defenders and Anti-Air Traps

Playing 160s solo. Flingers are now more of an issue than before now that you can't place your defenders in pads on top of builds for them to fully kill the flung husks if you hadn't killed the flinger yet. It also feels like the anti-air trap does jack shit now or might be the way I have them perked with 2xDMG, 1xRange, 1xRLD, 1xBuilding Health and 1xHeals. This seems like Epic is going to follow suit of Arrowhead by nerfing/changing things nobody asked for.
