Hi,

I’m a Danish citizen planning to visit Turkey and I’d like to bring my DJI Mavic 2 Pro (~900g).

The goal is just to film my parents’ village as a personal memory, nothing commercial.

But honestly, the rules seem very unclear and almost impossible to follow as a foreigner. From what I’ve read, you need permits, approvals 20 days in advance, and possibly a local pilot.

At the same time, I’ve seen people say they just brought their drone in without issues, while others mention risk of confiscation or problems at customs.

So I’m trying to understand what’s realistic.

Has anyone here:

  • brought a drone like Mavic 2 Pro into Turkey recently?
  • had issues at the airport (Ankara)?
  • managed to do it properly as a foreigner?

Is there actually a workable method, or is it not worth the risk?

Thanks.

Selam guys.

I hope this post is ok. If not, mods can just delete it.

I am trying to produce music with real-life topics mixed with genres. I am inspired by Middle Eastern instruments and trying to include them in Americsan rap/singing.

I am curious what you think about the sound and overall vibe.

(This specific song is about the war, injustice, and innocent lives caught in the chaos)
