Dungeons and Dragons Fan Fest is REALLY good + some evolving ideas of what I like about Universal Studios.

I’m not into D&D at all but I love the fan fest event. It’s super fun I went last year and twice this year. I recognized a few of the performers from last year too. They’re great. The effects are great for what is essentially a pop up. It feels interactive. Like watching a play where the actors and actresses acknowledge you. But yeah the performers were great. One time the dwarf fellow literally fell over and I thought it was an actual accident, but I guess part of the show?? I really love the big eyeball creature, Xanathar.

I hope they keep it every year. It would be cool if they incorporated more stuff with the audience. Like gave out character sheets or pamphlets to each class. Or foam weapons to hold and play with during the show. And I’d really like the cast to get more credit and have meet and greets after.

But I realized this trip what I really like about the park. Now I love rides, but Universal was always about shows and film production to me. But I really, really liked interacting with cast members. Like in Jurassic Park and the Scooby Doo events too. Super fun. And getting selfies and autographs!!

Yeah I know they aren’t big name famous people, but for me when I watch them in a performance, in costumes too, they’re just as much of a famous celebrity to me as most of the famous people. More so even considering how boring a lot of the celebrities are these days. Like after Waterworld I like to get selfies and autographs with the cast. They’re super, super nice too. I’m sure it boosts their ego too instead of them just thinking of themselves as theme park workers.

I LOVE the Black Series Stormtrooper helmet. It is such a good idealized helmet, but of course it's just a toy. But it's super hard to beat for just around $50-75 on sale. Or how ever much. I bought like ten lol. The Darth Vader helmets are fun too.

But I'm just curious what would be a good step up. Like the very next step up. Nothing too crazy in price. It doesn't have to be 501st approved either (eventually I'll just buy a whole set from RS Prop Masters, or at least the helmet. I assume all that would be approved?). But I figure you all would know best.

Legit feel like just going back to controller.

If I play a modern game with it, the car loses control constantly. In Forza or Gran Turismo. Honestly I just want simple controls - I turn the wheel left - the car veers left etc. But the cars constantly slip out and I can’t save it regardless how I turn to the opposite direction.

But my bigger issue is I’d like to use it with emulators for PS1-3 and N64 games. I wouldn’t mind if it behaved just like a 30 year old wheel with no frills but I can’t get it to work. I know about Logitech G Hub and profiles, but I can’t seem to assign a letter to the wheel itself (turning left and right and not just pressing a button on a wheel). Duckstation has presets for analog controllers like the Jogcon, but it’s not recognizing the wheel’s axis. Any help is much appreciated.
