Hate towards relegion

This post is for relegious people that also observe a lot of hate towards their own relegion on reddit.

I've seen many posts where people express hate toward religion. At the same time, I've also seen many posts where people question the meaning of life. Often, it seems like these people are going through an existential crisis. And when someone criticizes the theory of evolution, some react as if their own "religion" is being attacked, taking the criticism very personally. They can become defensive when their beliefs or worldview are challenged.

Overall, some people strongly hate religion, yet still search for meaning and purpose in life. Hatred and arrogance are not signs of open-mindedness. So I want to say, there's no point in engaging with people whose minds are closed off by hatred, where no perspective can enter except negativity and hostility.

I have my own subreddit r/LifeAndQuestions, where people can share their deep thougts about life. Especially thoughts that changed your world view and question your reality. Please visit my page.

Massless particles and beyond

Massless objects exist, even though that may sound contradictory. A well-known example is light, which consists of particles called photons. Photons carry energy and momentum, but they have no rest mass and therefore always travel at the speed of light in a vacuum. Electrons, in contrast, do have mass. Electrons gain their mass through interaction with the Higss field. The stronger a particle interacts with the Higgs field, the greater its mass. Many fundamental particles, including quarks and electrons, obtain mass this way. Particles that do not interact with the Higgs field, such as photons, remain massless and travel at the speed of light.

But how do we know masseless particles like photons exist -> because they interact with our surrounding and we can observe it, thereby it is measurable.

This raises a deeper question: what if there are other massless entities that interact only minimally, or not at all, with the physical world around us? If something leaves no measurable trace, proving its existence through science becomes extremely difficult, perhaps even impossible with current methods. At that point, philosophy enters the discussion.

I have realized many people have a desire/ tendency to believe, some believe in relegion, lucky numbers, zodiac signs. All which gives us hope and comfort. Many of us wonder what the meaning of life, as if we are “progammed” to search for this answer.

I will talk about our spirit/ soul. I believe our soul gives us consciousness, desire to believe and moralitiy. Maybe our soul is interacting with a field, similar to the Higgs field, making it possible for the spirit to affect our physical body. Death would then be the moment when the soul disconnects from the body and continues its journey beyond the physical world.

I believe many maseless objects are not testable -> we can not proof its existence, but we can speculate though science and philosophy. Let me know your thougts.

Is the evolution theory biased?!

Some people believe that religion was created to answer fundamental questions about the world, such as: Where does rain come from? Why do suffering and disasters exist? Why are we on Earth? How did we come on earth? I will answer the last question according to science:

According to evolutionary theory, humans and modern apes did not evolve directly from one another; instead, they share a common ancestor. The exact identity of this ancestor is not known, but scientists believe it was a population of ape-like primates that lived millions of years ago.

Charles Darwin observed similarities between humans and apes, particularly in appearance. These observations led scientists to further investigate the relationship between humans and other primates. However, one could ask whether this approach was biased. Did Darwin begin with the assumption that humans and apes must be related because similarities in fenotype? Then mainly search for evidence supporting the connection between humans and apes, based on appearance. While overlooking conflicting evidence. And what would it mean if humans did not evolve from ape-like ancestors?

Another theory that explains similarty between apes and humans is: coincidence. Overall, a main question were are missing is: how did non-life became life?

However, are there other theories besides ape evolution that attempt to explain where humans come from?

I can’t sleep when I am tired

When I am really tired my mind does not shut down (literally). I feel tired, but my mind is awake. When i try to sleep images flash in my mind, even when my eyes are closed. Sometimes during the night I would wake up and start to hullucinate (but I don’t lose reality). I went to the doctor for this, and it’s nothing bad! I am very conscious when I see these images.

During these days I can only sleep for few hours. When I wake up, I don’t feel tired.

Are there more people that can relate? How do you shut down your mind?

Extra information: I have fnd (functional neurological disorder). Due this disorder I feel tension in my brain. For example, when I smell something delicious or stinky, tension in my head increases and my body shakes it off, resulting in involuntary movements. This disorder made me very irritable. Good thing, I am getting better and I am healing.

Free will is the idea that people can genuinely choose between different possible actions, instead of actions being influenced by biology or outside influences. For example: If you choose tea instead of coffee, free will means you could have chosen differently. But, every thought and action was already determined by your genes, brain state, and environment, then some philosophers argue free will is an illusion. Thus there is no scenario where you would have chosen tea above coffee at same circumstances.
Overall, it suggests that much of human behavior is programmed, and that we usually act according to this programming. From now on, I will call “free will” “progamming”

I will give an example where I believe we lose our progamming: Every year, Christmas is celebrated. Many people place a Christmas tree in their living room and decorate it. For some, this is tradition; for others, it is connected to religion. But why do we put a tree inside our homes? Why do we decorate it? Most people do not question the logic behind the action. The reason we dont question is that Christmas is strongly associated with joy and positive emotions. The experience feels good, thus we rarely reflect on our behavior or question the meaning behind it.
But imagine the opposite. If Christmas were associated with negativity, discomfort, or fear, people would begin to question the tradition. They would become more aware and reflect on their actions.
This is where I believe consciousness and free will emerge.

So what does this mean?
When you feel discomfort, it is consciousness whispering to you to reflect on your actions, thoughts, and emotions. Discomfort interrupts automatic behavior and forces awareness. Perhaps free will is not something constant, but something that emerges in moments of consciousness. It appears when awareness breaks through our programming, allowing us to question ourselves, reflect, and choose whether to continue our current behavior or change it.

Historically, slaves were often numbered, sometimes even physically marked, like with earrings or tags. Even today, in a normal setting like school, we're still given numbers (student IDs, etc.). Animals are also numbered, cows, birds, livestock. It seems like everything in systems gets reduced to some kind of number.

That made me think. We have a natural abstract numbering, like humans used to number animals/ slaves. Its our fingerprints.
Of course, our DNA is also highly unique, but fingerprints are different because they are visible and can be observed by anyone. This makes me wonder: why is this natural form of identification so clearly defined and accessible? Could it suggest that each of us has a distinct place or role, almost as if we are inherently “marked” in some way?

Are we servants in this world?

I wanted to share the phenomenon of magnetic pole flipping and its connection to a hadith.

The sun rises in the east and sets in the west. The directions (north, east, south, west) are decribed as:
North (N) → where the compass needle points
South (S) → exact opposite direction
East (E) → 90° to the right of north
West (W) → 90° to the left of north
A geomagnetic reversal is when Earth’s magnetic field flip. So the magnetic north and south pole flip. This flip is instantly observed in compasses: the arrow flips from north to south. When this happens, earths magnetic field weakens. This reduction in stregth, increases vulnerability to solar radiation, which could damage satellites and electric power grids. scientific evidence does not show that previous reversals caused mass extinctions. So yes this has occured before: on average every 200,000–300,000 years, last full reversal was about 780,000 years ago.

Now the interesting part, this upcoming phenomeon is mentionend in a hadith in Islam:
“The Hour (Day of Judgment) will not be established until the sun rises from where it sets. When people see it, all those on earth will believe.” (Sünen-i İbni Mace, IX/4362)

Indicating that the sun will rise from the west instead of the east, which will happen before the end of the world.

Claim: I am not an expert, please let me know if I a made a mistake

<An infinite source is a source with no beging nor an end>

Everything that has a beginning also has an end, including me. But anything with a beginning and an end depends on something else for its existence. For example, I exist because of my parents. This pattern appears everywhere in nature.

If we trace this chain of causes back far enough, we arrive at the Big Bang, something that also had a beginning, is still expanding, and may eventually have an end. But what happens if we try to go further back? Do we reach an infinite source?

If everything that begins is the result of something else, does that mean there must be something without a beginning, an infinite source, even behind the Big Bang? And if so, what is it?

It's a question I can't stop thinking about.

Would the universe be the same without the presence of other galaxies? Would the absence of even a single galaxy, among the countless billions, from dwarfs to giants, have any impact on Earth?

Are we part of a perfectly arranged puzzle, shaped just right for life as we know it to exist? And if so, why? If everything around us seems to serve a purpose that allows us to live, what is our purpose as conscious beings?

Are we merely one small piece of that vast puzzle, or are we here for something greater? Would anything change if one galaxy vanished from the universe, or are we so small that even such a loss would go unnoticed?

It feels as if everything is arranged just right for us to exist, as if we are part of some vast, perfect puzzle. But if that's true, what does that make us?

Are we simply another piece in place... or the reason the puzzle exists at all?

I've been thinking about something and I'm curious what others think.

That made me think: even something like a fingerprint is basically a unique identifier. It's like a natural "number" that no person assigned, but still distinguishes you from everyone else. Are we, in a way, all "numbered” in the universe, not just socially, but naturally? And could something like a fingerprint be an abstract example of that, like a built-in identity that ties into the idea that every human has a defined place or role?

Curious if anyone has come across similar ideas or has thoughts on this.

Male lions leave their pride (group of lions) to mate with females from other groups, which helps to produces strong offsprings, and prevent inbreeding. They do not consciously understand genetics or make this decision deliberately; instead, this behavior is instinctive and shaped by evolution. In a sense, they are "programmed" to behave this way.

So it makes me wonder why humans are searching for a meaning in life and hold so dear on traditions that might not mean a lot to us. Some people even believe in lucky numbers, believing in habits that will bring luck. As if we are searching to believe, but why?! Will this feeling be removed by evolution or does it seve a strong purpose in our life.

What does our unconscious know that we don't know??

The quran mentions: "Indeed, 'it is' We 'Who' created humankind and 'fully' know what their souls whisper to them, and We are closer to them than 'their' jugular vein." (50:16)

I interprete this whisper as our unconsciousness that is eager to believe

First of all there a no genes that results in being LGBTQ, instead some genes increase the chance of being a LGBTQ person. These genes makes the person more prone to developing some feelings/ desires that LGBT persons have. For example trans people. I have watched/ read short documents were trans people understood they were the opposite gender when they looked back at their childhood. During their childhood they had a desire to do boy/ girls activities or wear boys/ girls clothing. When one person looks back at this, they see a child that always desired to be the other gender. Another person will look back at their childhood and realize that they were a curious/ adventurous child. The twist in thinking, makes one person develop feelings to desire the opposite gender, while the other one with the same childhood did not develop those feelings/ desire. This is the cause in different genes, which is related to their thinking process. The person that thought about being the opposite gender and a more unusual thinking behavior, is more likely neurodivergent.

Claim: I have seen that people are downvoting. Just so you know I dont want to make feel anyone less, we are all equal and all unique. I also know it is controversial, but please share your thoughst, so we can learn from each other
