Selling house with finished basement that can leak

Ok so my wife applied and got her dream job across the country so in a few days we’re looking to list our house. We’ve been living in our house for 4 yrs and in that 4 years water has seeped into the finished basement on 3 occasions. It can handle rain no problem but on occasional when we’d get like down pouring rain for like days on end it can get wet. This is in Northwest Indiana.

It leaks in the same 2 spots one by the laundry room next to the sump pump so no issues but the other one is in the downstairs bedroom. With that I’ve pulled off the baseboard and just leave it rested against the wall in case it ever does start to get wet I could just put towels down to seep up the water.

With that background information, what is the best way to go about selling our house. I don’t want to be scum and of course I will properly disclose this, but we’ve gotten three quotes all around $17,000 to fix this which didn’t seem reasonable because of how seldom it happens and and again only when we get downpours for days on ends

Poor installation or more concering?

Recently bought a home, and of course, when touring and when inspecting, you are wearing shoes (or at least I assume so). Anyway, I never noticed that when walking either with socks or barefoot in a few spots, there are edges of some of the hardwood flooring that seem higher, not like a trip hazard, but you can definitely feel it if you run your foot across.

Is this just a bad install or floors expanding and contradicting due to climate? Or is it signs of a bigger problem

Under the hardwood floor there appears to be a visible portion of the old flooring any concern for asbestos? If so since it’s in tact I’d just install a threshold to ensure it remains in tact but if it’s no concern I plan on leaving it

House was built in 1952 and this would be in the basement near the utility or laundry room. Really not sure of any patterns so that’s why I’m asking

Had our driveway resealed this afternoon came out to throw away some trash and noticed this dusty footprint in the sealant. There doesn’t appear to be any indentations so once fully cured will it not be noticeable and or two will just wipe away?

On one small section I noticed there’s no edge something I’ve noticed until today. Roof was redone in September 2025 so this has been through the winter and a handful of rain storms. How concerning is this? Other parts have drip edge so was this just missed
