Luggage transport service from Valencia to Santiago?

I’ll spend a month in Spain/Portugal total, and the last week doing the Camino. I found a service (My Baggage) that will pick up my large checked bag from Valencia and send it to my home in Ireland. Then, I can carry on without it before starting my pilgrimage from Sarria. The challenge is that I don’t have someone to collect it in Ireland, so I will need to trust that the service can hold it until I arrive.

I already paid for a checked bag from the Santiago airport. It would actually be better to send it there, and then I can fly home with it. It would need to be stored for about 2 weeks in that case though, and I’m happy to pay per day.

Has anyone been in a similar situation, and have a recommendation?

I have heard of bag services that would hold it while I’m on the route, but what makes this tricky is that I am flying from Valencia to Lisbon, spending a week there, then flying to Madrid, and taking a train to Sarria. The bag fees are crazy for the flights, and carrying a big bag on the train is frustrating, especially when I’m no longer using anything in the bag. The current service I’m looking at is €55, but I would pay more for the peace of mind of knowing it will be ready in Santiago for me.

I was diagnosed with ADHD in college and tried medicine for a few years. It worked so well and truly felt like putting on a pair of glasses. My main issue though, is not wanting to be on a controlled substance indefinitely. My family has a strong history of addiction, including overdoses, and I’m scared to get dependent and then lose access to the medication and turn to another substance. I tried a few different ADHD medications, and with each one I had severe migraines, plus a whole unique batch of extra symptoms.

My newest therapist is trying to convince me to go back on ADHD medication, but I want to learn to adjust instead via lifestyle changes. I told him no a few times, but he keeps trying to convince me. I went into the session trying to decide if I should take on a new project at work amidst burnout that I was suicidal from just weeks earlier. He basically said I should get on medication, start taking a walk after work (something I told him I already do), then say yes. I also barely got a word in and he was saying a lot of things that didn’t resonate, so to be honest I just think it wasn’t a good fit. But now I’m nervous that the next therapist will be the same.

Have others managed their ADHD without medication and with the help of a therapist? If you did, what did you look for or find in your therapist that made this a success?
