Anafranil Insights?
I have been diagnosed with OCD for a couple of years now. I can’t take Prozac per my genesight testing. We tried Luvox and it was a really bad experience. That being said I have been unmedicated for my OCD for the better part of the last two years. I recently started seeing a psychologist for my weekly therapy who specializes in OCD treatment. She encouraged me to speak to my prescriber about the tricyclic antidepressant Anafranil. She says it’s the gold standard for OCD treatment. I’ve done some preliminary research and it seems there are some serious side effects that aren’t as common with the newer psychiatric drugs. I’m curious if you’re on Anafranil what has your experience been like and do you personally find the pros outweigh the cons with this medication? Thanks!
