My dad has several cards each with a credit limit of $20k or more. Over a year ago I got my dad to switch over to the Rogers Mastercard and he’s pretty much used this card exclusively for personal expenses. He originally got a $8k credit limit which at the time was fine but now that he has been moving more expenses over to this card it is starting to be a problem. He gets close to using up the credit limit each month (leaving $500 headroom to prevent overdraft).

He gotten 2 increases so far: first one increased to $10k and second one he got a week ago to a $11k limit now.

This still isn’t enough for him and I am wondering if anyone has had success calling a real person over the phone to try and get a higher limit? He could have too much credit limit on his other cards so I’m going to tell him to decrease the credit limits on the cards he isn’t using but I don’t see why Rogers is so stingy with increasing the limits when other banks are happy at offering an instant $30k limit to him?

Edit: he pay the bill as soon as the statement is generated. Never any late payments.

Hey everyone, I am considering opening up a Wealthsimple business checking account but would like to hear other people’s experience with this account before opening.

I currently have a TD small business account and I get charged $5 per month and get zero interest on my balance. So Wealthsimple is very appealing at $0 monthly fees and unlimited e-transfers, transactions, and bill payments.

I do occasionally need a bank draft and write checks once or twice a year so I would need to be able to do that Wealthsimple for me to consider them.

Not bad for 30MHz of n78.

For those that don’t know iPhone 15 series and older don’t have the capability to connect to 3800MHz spectrum in Canada so my phone can only connect to 3500MHz spectrum and here in Edmonton we only have 30MHz of it here.
