I had a friend (let’s call her Lizzo), we BEST FRIENDS for about 2 years. We did everything together, I slept over her house almost every weekend, we celebrating Christmas together, she was like my family. One summer I went away and couldn’t go on her family vacation so Lizzo brought our mutual friend (let’s call her Christine) instead. On the vacation Lizzo was ranting to Christine about how she thought my decisions were stupid and embarrassing. I liked to go out and party, drink (maybe too much at times) and she was basically talking sh*t about me for the whole trip. I had a ex at the time who treated me really bad and I was going through a lot at home and she told Christine a lot of information I told her in confidence.

So Christine told me everything Lizzo said about me and when we got to back school I literally acted like she was invisible. Every time she spoke I would pretend like I did not hear. If she asked I question I would say “did someone hear something”. She was a ghost to me. If someone came to me regarding her in anyway I would act like I had no clue who that was. Our friend group also all cut her off. IATA should I have said something or was my reaction valid?

My friend (let’s call her Barbie) and her boyfriend (let’s call him Ken) were together for about 2 years when he moved away to college. Barbie and Ken broke up because Ken wasn’t sure if they could do long distance but Barbie was trying to hold onto the relationship. While Ken was away Barbie met a guy and they started talking. The guy (let’s call him Chad) had a girlfriend and Barbie knew but still continued talking to Chad anyway. One night Barbie and Chad ended up having s*x but then Barbie found out Chad recently had s*x with our mutual friend and was hurt so she stopped talking to him.

Ken came back to town. We were all out at a party and Barbie was asking me if she should go talk to Ken. I had said to just leave him alone and then she asked me to talk to him for her to see if he wanted to talk. I went to Ken and told him EVERYTHING because she was always accusing him of sleeping with other girls and stressed him out in his first semester of college while she was the one that was having a relationship outside of theirs. She was talking to Chad about leaving his girlfriend and being with her instead, while arguing with Ken about s*xual relationships she assumed he was having.
