I worked as a freelancer for years and now I launched my own Kickstarter. The Elemental Creatures. Would love your thoughts.
So, I've been working as a freelance 3D character artist for a few years, but I've always wanted to build something of my own. For the past few months, I've been working on a small universe called Elemental Creatures, and I just launched it on Kickstarter.
Here's the Kickstarter if you want to check it out:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects /creaturecraftworks/elemental-creatures
It's based on the four elements, each tied to a culture and archetype:
Fire Order - Japanese-inspired lion paladin focused on discipline
Earth Dominion - Aztec-inspired rhino vanguard built on endurance
Water Clan - Nordic-inspired otter healer shaped by memory
Air Wanderers - Buddhist-inspired owl mage shaped by knowledge
Each also has its own spirit, and I tried to make it feel like a connected world.
I genuinely love 3D printing, there's something insane about holding something you made digitally.
Would love feedback from people here:
- Do swappable parts actually matter to you?
- Anything you look for in pre-supported files? Is it actually helpful to give 2 scales pre-supported.
