Andre gets curious
Sweet creatures, being sweet.
Sweet creatures, being sweet.
Best worst cat. Worst best cat.
Mr. Rogers.
Dancer in the dark here,
My dear family member who has been the primary caretaker for her non-verbal adult son who has both cognitive and physical disabilities is finally divorcing her husband after decades of emotional abuse.
As a caretaker she hasn't been able to have a full time job (she honestly, wasn't allowed to), and she needs to ensure they have a place to live, and support.
Does anyone here have experience with this?
I've already reached out to as many local family lawyers who have mentioned disability rights in their info, as well as confirmed State disability laws/codes regarding adults and caregivers.
Any guidance, resources, support groups or contact info of legal experts or services would greatly appreciated. 🙏🙏🙏
This is 6 days worth of growth on the Kennebec Potatoes.
Cover it up with dirt, rinse and repeat.
Time for more containers.
Posted a month or so ago for advice about my young rooster being a jerk. With just a little bit of work and separation, he's an absolute friggin angel now. No aggression at all.
Glad I tried. Thank you all for advice!
All it took was daily hand feeding, and keeping him penned during certain times of day. Yesterday, he even let my 7 year old nephew feed him by hand. 🥰
Pepaw is a keeper!
We have the "problem" of having too many gorgeous trees and not enough hours of sunlight in our back yard.
We've tried everything for years, and everything past March bolts.
This year, we finally gave up, and started containers in the front yard. The difference is incredible! Tractor supply had a sale on buckets, we had an old twin bed frame and left over chicken fencing- so far so good!!!
Every week we add a few more buckets, the long awaited success has been a bit addictive.
Transplanting the newer tomatoes today, starting a few more cucumbers, beans and making another "trellis".
With the backyard beds are going to stick with what works, herbs, radishes, spring onions and lettuces.
Bonus points: Finally having some success with container flowers in our "pet memorial bed", WE FOUND THE LIGHT! And a surprise pumpkin seed explosion from a leftover Halloween pumpkin in a front yard planter.
I'm considering trying to transplant them to the ground, and we may have a legit pumpkin patch on our hands!
The mantra this year: No more stress- follow the easiest path!
My sweet girl Goat just laid in my lap and let me pet her for a while! She's sweet, but this is a first.
What a cutie!
(and before you judge me on that triangle piece of crap in the background, it was a $6 thrift store find, and I only have it out when my older girls want to lay away from the newer flock, PROMISE! 🤣❤️🐔)
