First time chicken mother! Turned an old dog house into a coop. Any ideas or suggestions on improvements? They free range during the day

They are my first lil bebs! So far, I'm told "don't let them drown." Anyway, I love them and I'm so happy!

I need some advice.
My 10 yo son really wanted a polish chicken to add to our flock this year. We have looked everywhere for one. We kept missing them at the feed stores and no one had any on Facebook. Yesterday we stopped by a feed store to get some layer feed, and wee stopped by the chicks. They had one polish left. He was so excited. When I looked at it, I could tell it wasn't doing very good. He begged for it and said he wanted to try and save it. The lady gave it to us at a discount and I got two other chicks for companions.
It won't eat. I have been successful with water. I gave it sugar water after we got it and it perked up. I did see it pick up two pieces of crumble, but I don't think it ate them. I have tried cooked egg yoke, and then raw egg white. It didn't eat those either. I mixed electrolytes, water and chick feed into a mash. It won't eat the mash, but drinks the water from it. I have been holding it on my lap, under a heated blanket. I let it drink the water from the mixture every time it wakes up. After it drinks, it gets sleepy and goes back to sleep. It has been having bowel movements. Last night I held it for as long as I could and then I put it with the other chicks to sleep for the night. It made it through the night. It's acting the same today as it did yesterday. I offered it the mash again this morning, but it only drank the water and went back to sleep. I don't think it's going to make it, but I want to give this guy a chance. Is there anything else I can offer it? It needs to eat to survive.
I explained to my son before we bought the little guy, some chicks never thrive and it can be for a number of reasons. I wanted him to be prepared for the worst-case scenario. I'm cautiously optimistic since it made it through the night. But if it doesn't start eating, I don't think it will make it.
I need to know what people have had success with, so I can try that as well and give this guy the best shot at life that I can.
Any advice it welcome.

I was given this rooster last year who was getting overcame by his offspring Roos. Person said he was at least 5….so probably older. Any guess what breed he is…I never asked….didn’t matter to me at the time. He came with one spur and one missing. The spur has doubled in size in less than a year. Am I supposed to do something to it…trim it or something? Not sure but I think he stands all the time because of its length….or maybe he stands because he hears me coming. He is a good rooster, keeps peace in the coop and stays alert while the hens are ranging.
TLDR old roster rehomed to me has long spur and I want to know if I need to trim it because it has doubled in size in less than a year.

Easter chickies! Oh so cute! These are the silkies I'm sharing with the local 4H program.
I need everyone to hatch and dry so I can vaccinate them and take blood samples for sexing 😂 poor babies, but they'll get some cuddles!

Bonus pics, chicken nails and my goofy doodle of baddie Cinnamon (rip girl).
Had chickens for a few years but never had one successfully hatch eggs. Our one naked neck went missing last month and I figured maybe a fox got her since our girls free range. This morning I heard cheeps from the neighbors land and OH MY GOODNESS, BABIES!

Recently got a new to me coop and am considering getting rid of the dropping board and just installing two new roosts.
Any suggestions for height and placement? Coop is 4x4 and will be for 4-5 hens
so, my one year old crew is already stressed this week as we brought some pullets in 5 days ago, and a 6 month old bantam rooster.
they’re in a big crate in their main run because that’s the most secure at night. they have a roost bar in there & we have been covering w tarps at night and the pullets are happy and adjusting well. the little roo is sleeping up high in their second attached run (seems to be his preference) but running around with everyone else during the day
yesterday we got a storm and a 20ish degree temp drop overnight (down to mid 50s, nothing crazy) with pretty high winds this morning as well.
we usually get 6-7 eggs a day but the last few days we’ve gotten like 1…2-3! and some of my girls are puffed up this morning but otherwise acting fine. i’ve also noticed some of their combs getting floppy and a little dark at the ends.
i do have one broody hen who i moved with her nest into a maternity ward in the corner of the coop, there is another hen (my big roosters favorite, and i need to get her a saddle. he has made her back bare) has been spending more time in the nesting boxes too and sleeping there but isn’t actually broody?
i think the big rooster stresses everyone out already and he’s not protective or nice to them so considering getting rid of him.
anyways, the internet tells me the puffed up and comb issue could be totally normal weather/hormonal shifts but hoping for others input since this is my first year with all of this happening! i just want to keep my girls happy. TIA.

Hi all,
I’ve had the same chickens for the past 2 years now. But since a couple of weeks, 1 of my chickens has started screaming throughout the day. She lays eggs and is healthy. She is on the top of the pecking order. She does it when she sees us, but also when no one is around. She has never done this before and I am worried about my neighbours.
What could this be? Please help us out…
