My first ever FPS game with M&K… where do I even start?

I’m an above average battlefield player with a 2.4 KD and an 18.3% accuracy which I don’t think is good enough.

My main weakness is CQB gunfights vs strafers, jump shotters, and sliders.

I started aim training on aim labs with controller and I found some success.

However I decided to take a leap of faith and bought a keyboard and mouse.

Here was my first ever game in battlefield 6.

It was rough to say the least… felt like a bot

Couldn’t figure out how to sprint, crouch or jump. Sometimes doing them accidentally. Pulling out claymores and my knife during a gun fight

Where do I even start? I feel so overwhelmed

POV: You’re a transport heli main, your blueberry gunners can’t hit shit and those stingers are starting to annoy you.

Salt level was a little high this game won’t lie

Slip N Slide on firestorm.

Imagine you see this massive unit hauling ass towards you and shredding you to pieces.

Also LMAO @ that guy I ran over

The aiming is fine. Only my second day experimenting but the movement?

Feels like I’m playing a flash game on nickelodeon.com in 2005

WASD shift alt space bar man wtf

How long is it going to take for me to become a god?

2.5 KD controller player btw. Switched input to become a menace in the little bird

I started in the transport heli and after 33 in game hours in stressful situations (painted vs 7 stingers on breakthrough in operation firestorm) I feel super comfortable.

I’m currently level 66 on it which isn’t that high in the grand scheme of things but I feel proud of it.

Anyway now I want to get super comfortable in the attack heli.

My survivability skills have transferred over but I’m struggling with a few things.

#1. Target acquisition - sometimes I can’t see tanks or IFVs or infantry. I ask my gunner to play as recon but sometimes the spot perk is bugged and it doesn’t work? I feel like I’m not being productive and I’m afraid of lingering in one spot looking for enemies.

#2 Dogfighting an enemy heli with AA missiles - Whenever my gunner and I don’t catch them by surprise they lock on to me and I immediately have to go below radar which puts us at a disadvantage.

I’m still learning to hit tows, but in the meanwhile how do you guys deal with this?

#3 A few close calls while making strafes - When I make a strafe I like to go fast and that requires the nose pointing down and I get a little too low for my liking.

I try to tow the tank/IFV and unleash my rockets while my gunner locks on. We are still working on this but getting better.

What’s the technique here? Should I approach higher l, let go of throttle and pitch up earlier?

I'm not sure why my squadmates' stats get blackened out.

We had Necryx TV repairing us. We will be doing a video with him soon featuring full transport heli squad with double gunners and double repairs.

This game was tough. Ground troops were struggling tremendously to take all points.

We had 3 recons painting us and atleast 7+ stingers trying to lock on to us.

Got shot down twice: towards the beginning and at the very end. Managed to win the game.

Here's the video for some gameplay. https://youtu.be/Vvm5ucPMrA0?si=po3DEv-yHAKWiwIi

I have 32 flight hours in the transport, 5 in the little bird and 14 in the attack heli.

I feel super confident in the transport lately.

I've started trying to incorporate some moves to keep speed or provide better angles for my gunner.

#1. I prioritize my left gunner who's a buddy in real life. He gets on average 60 kills with me flying. Let's say I come out of a strafe, flare and stay low. I come back and my left side is now facing away from the objective. Rather than go completely around I did a hard U turn using roll and I was flying backwards with my left gunner having a great view of the objective and enemy infantry. It was so fucking cool and cinematic. In my head I thought "let me try something crazy" and I managed to pull it off.

#2 Doing a barrel roll while flaring high above to lose altitude quickly. I was trying this in portal and I think once I get it down it will be pretty sweet. At the moment I'm trying to figure out how much time and room I need to complete the barrel roll and not plummet into the ground.

What about you guys?

However I have made the move and I gotta say this shit feels weird af!

If any of you ex controller guys could recommend key binds that would be great and current m&k players any advice?

I know the learning curve is going to be brutal and demoralizing at first but I’m going to stick with it.

I bought an engagement ring and it was long overdue.

Our anniversary is 3 days after mother's day and we have a 1 year old baby girl.

Would doing it on any of these special days be a bad idea?

How do I even do it?

Is it as simple as pulling it out when she doesn't expect it and saying will you marry me? I 100% will not do it infront of a crowd. It just feels weird and she agrees.

Need advice badly

Team was struggling to take the first point.

Gunner and I and a gem of a blueberry locked tf in.

Gunner accumulated 70 kills in the first sector alone and finished strong. Beating our PR of 83 kills and 83 assists.

Enemy team was absolutely salty
