Should I just move states at this point?

So I'm looking for work and I'm about tired of working construction where it's a dead end job

I am in school for criminal justice and want to be a police officer, but my level 5 DWI in NC is stopping me in my tracks with every employment opportunity of value. Not just law enforcement, literally everything.

I seriously can't believe what a simple mistake will cost you. Three years ago. And I'm a veteran at that. Goes to show. Really does. Should I just move states and try to get additional distance from it?

I've been relatively sober, and ultimately that means nothing. Can't even be a correctional officer. Banned from that job in NC for life

So what I learnt in school was by 1900, but I've seen evidence of stage coach robberies, train robberies, bank robberies and old wild West gangs still active up until the 1920s. I'm sure some can even find later instances.

I know this doesn't dictate or represent whether the narrative of the definition of wild West.

But I feel like many generalize the Wild West as outlaws, and cowboys.

If these actions in the 1900s-1930 are still characterized as wild West, then it amazes me how not far off we actually are in relative time from that period.

Hey all. So I'm hoping to land this heavy equipment job for the landfill. It's a government position, and I'm hoping it falls the way I want it to.

The interview went great. Ran some machines they had, and discussed the benefits, but kind of wanted to hear it from the horses mouth.

I have spent years with a shovel in my hands, trying to scrape up what experience I could on heavy equipment and I think now is my time to shine. I just had my breaking point at my last job were I walked off the job at lunch.

A man can only take so much of being treated like a kid.

Anyways. What's y'all's thoughts?

Hey all I'm building a 6.0 LS and have been bouncing back and forth between finding something off of Texas Speed or listening to Richard and running a cheap set up with the Sloppy cam.

My set up I'm aiming for is a turbo build, and using it for occasional strip use, maybe take it to cars and coffee.

I did watch the video, but why so cheap exactly? I know cheap doesn't mean good. Also, if I do run this cam, should I buy the kit or run different springs and all that other jive?

Like I've said previously, I'm newer to engine building. I do see and realize that even cheaper parts can yield great outputs, but it probably doesn't last long.

So I just tore down my 6.0. mind you, I've got no clue what I'm doing. First motor I've ever tore down.

With that being said, every bolt and screw is exactly with every piece I removed.

My intended HP goals are around 800-1000rwhp. Should I say screw it and remove the crank and gap the rings? My biggest worry is I wind up gapping the ring incorrectly or doing something stupid.

I do plan on running a turbo set up. I guess if I don't I'll get plenty of experience having to tear it down the rebuild it again afterwards
