Help!

Hellooooo. Quick background, me and my little family are moving states. Me and my 6 month old son are staying the night with some family members. They graciously put a bed on the floor for us and made the room pretty well baby-proofed. My uncle even said “babies should sleep with their parents!” haha. Anyway. To my non-surprise the bed is a ~pillow top~ My son is incredibly mobile. Rolls both ways, crawls very efficiently, pulls to stand and can cruise a little on furniture. Very good head/trunk control. I *did* pack my yoga mat in my suitcase to I may utilize that and try to chest sleep part of the night until inevitably he wants to be next to me. Just wanted to see if anyone had any other tips. Tomorrow my husband will arrive with our king sized Plank mattress so it’s just one night but of course I want to be as safe as possible. Am I overthinking it? Who knows! If you have any advice I’d love to hear it :)

Hi all! Been cosleeping with my dude for a while now. We c-curl mostly. Sometimes I roll to my back intentionally with my arm above him now because at 5.5 mos old he is crawling, sitting up on his own, pulling up to stand and cruising. Just an absolute athlete of a baby lol. Yes I’m very tired. Anyway lately at night, he wakes up and crawls a bit forward until he’s up in my arms and snuggles up and goes back to sleep. So then he’s not totally flat on the bed which worries me I guess? But it’s so sweet and he’s so strong and so mobile. I guess I’m wondering if you would let your babe do this or if you’d put him back down flat on the bed next to you? Thanks :)

I just kind of realized my baby has never ever not once just.. fallen asleep on his own. He’s 5 months old. He is either nursed to sleep, “walked” (we walk him around the house with a little bouncy/rock motion), or he falls asleep being worn. He has never just fallen asleep. I think he would scream the house down before that happened. He’s also the untransferrable baby and has never slept in a bassinet or crib. We cosleep and contact nap exclusively. Anyone else in this boat? “Lay them down drowsy but awake” sounds like some made up shit to me hahaha.

I want to add that I’m fully leaning in at this point so I’m not really stressed about it. He wakes up every 1-4 hours. Just depends. We might try a crib in our room once we move, but I have no plans to sleep train or anything. I’m exhausted but it’s a phase. Meh. Just wondering if anyone has any similar stories and if you have an older babe that was like this when/if it changed.

He’s also 5 months old, pulling up to stand on his own already and generally just a really motivated dude. He hits one milestone and it’s onnnn to the next! I wonder if that’s why his sleep is so garbage sometimes.
