Im going to test drive a 21 F150 XLT with 103,000 miles. It was brought to my attention that oil consumption is common problem, typically showing up at lower mileage.

I’m curious if there are any things I can check for that would be a good indicator of said oil consumption issues. Nothing shows up on the car fax indicating this, with regular oil changes and scheduled maintenance.

Super excited for it, but not super familiar with the truck. Was hoping I could get some insight on it as far as upgrades that will benefit and upgrades that are unnecessary. I also realize this isn’t a total basher, that’s what the slash is for. Not sure if I want the method or heat wave version. I like the looks of the king body the best.
