(🇫🇷 français plus bas) Hi all, I was wondering if anyone in Montreal (or the surroundings), Canada would like to join us, in garage racing league we want to establish.
Our summer Series would be in a park, we have ramps, cones and we are thinking about a timing system if affordable. Could be Friday, Saturday or Sunday ? Once or twice per month. We might have a deal on the RTR if we buy many.
The guy behind the initiative created a FB group for it. Questions and suggestions are welcomed !

Electric 5ive-T. The squared-off body doesn't do it for me, but the rest of the updates look good. As soon as I double my income, I'll grab one.
Pulled out my old Losi XXXT kit from the attic that I built around 2001 at 15 years old. It's been upgraded to a 3900kv brushless with a 2s LiPo battery, new servo, rebuilt the gearing with an aluminum differential(the brushless shredded the plastic differential), tightened the steering, put new pro line dirt tires and this thing has been a tank(very durable) on my home made track. Just figured I'd share a fun old kit that has been super fun to rebuild.
This car has been a long way from stock.
Springs, oil, grease, wheels, decals
And now, putting in and making the short brushless system’s wires get sorted. Bought some esc - motor wire extension and altered it to fit perfectly. Too long means it won’t fit nicely. I really wanted the esc mounted where it should be and this was the cheapest solution rather than making a custom mount.
Weight balance is ideally close to stock with this setup, I highly recommend this if you want the car as balances as possible without adding weights.
The car has been a bit heavier now. Unfortunately, I didn’t measure the weight difference, I would probably retune the springs after the receiver has arrived.
Electronics setup
HW 16BL30 XT60
HW Quicrun 2435 brushless motor 4,500kv
GNB 1,100mah 2s LiHV (drone battery in XT60 - custom ordered)
Spektrum SX108 servo - (upgrade from the glitchy 107)
Dumbo P6FG receiver - best reco imo, it has gyro built in perfect for this tail happy buggy
Question:
What wheel sets are you running?
What spring and damper setup have you been running on?
Have anyone installed aftermarket o rings/x rings? (Mine doesn’t leak, as of the moment)
I’ve only ever had a Slash and UDR as far as trucks, but I went ahead and bought the Baja Rey 2.0 a couple weeks ago. I could not be happier. Might upgrade to a sensors motor at some point but this thing absolutely rips stock. I’m fully on the Losi train now, I’m sorry it took so long
Hi everyone!! I’m working on porting ClubLaps to Android, a really cool app for tracking lap times on our MiniZs (or RC in general) using the camera. Compared to Laptrax and similar apps, it has features I find really interesting, like paddock management, setup, tracks, and more.
I’m looking for testers so I can release it on the PlayStore. Testers will have the chance to get early access to the app, provide suggestions and feedback that will directly influence its development! If you’re interested, send me a private message with your email and I’ll add you to the internal tester group.
Hi Everyone, I got a free car along with a deal. The guy said its an 1/8th scale Losi but didn't know the exact model. I've searched for a while but I cannot find what exact model it is. I believe its a variant of the Losi Eight XE but I'm not sure. Any help is appreciated!
Sharing my complete build for the Mini JRX2! Built mine with a JDM heart with BHM decals and Tamiya wheels.
Now with Dumbo P6FG (receiver with gyro), HW Quicrun 2435 4,500kv G3 brushless motor, HW 16BL30 G2, Spektrum SX108 servo, GNB 1,100mah 2s LiHV battery
I was able to mount the electronics where it should be as I’m trying to do close to factory geometry.
Did a short test on my room and I can say it’s definitely too fast from the Tamiya 370 Sport Tuned I used to have.
Currently timing is set to factory, drag brake to 10%, neutral position factory
Will do a run later
