I need answers !!

I’ve been at my local Culver’s for over three years, and I’ve noticed that the scoop sizes seem to change all the time. We’re told we’re over-portioning, but when I check the guide, it says 9-10 ounces for two scoops of custard with and without any toppings, and then it’s usually only 1 ounce for each topping. Our managers say that the guide we are seeing includes toppings, so if someone wants four toppings like the usual strawberry, pecans, fudge, and banana, does that mean we scoop a “one scoop around 5 ounces” in a 2 scoop and then add the 4 ounces of toppings to reach the 9-10-ounce goal for two scoops? That would be a huge lie and a loss for our customers. I’m not sure, but I’d love to hear what other Culver’s think and what they do. (And then customers always complain about our proportions being on the smaller level.)

Bebe Zitos Awful Job

Recently, my girlfriend started her first day of work at Bebe Zitos, the burger place that replaced Dairyland at the 3rd Street Market Hall. Before she even began her first shift, she was told what her responsibilities would be in a rather informal setting that didn’t resemble a professional interview. She was informed that her pay would be only $11 per hour and was not asked for any identification or her address like any other orientation.

During this so-called “interview,” she expressed her desire for a workplace characterized by teamwork, cooperation, and understanding from both managers and coworkers. The “hiring manager” or “co-owner” assured her that she would find that environment at Bebe Zitos, claiming it was unavailable elsewhere.

On her first day, she witnessed the same woman speaking negatively about another employee with a “trainer” who had only been working there for a month. This made my girlfriend realize that the hiring manager had been putting on a facade during the interview.

Furthermore, there was no proper training provided on her first day, and she was left to handle the front line by herself. Claiming that she can just “wing it” No one assisted her, and the kitchen staff instructed her to inform customers that the wait time for overpriced burgers would be 25 to 30 minutes. When an error occurred, everyone blamed her, despite it being her first day, and there was no sympathy for her situation. This was an awful experience, and after reading the reviews of this place, it’s no wonder people are wanting for Dairyland to return.
