Anyone traveling to Nepal soon? Need help getting a COROS Pace 3 or 4

Hey everyone,

I’ve been trying to get my hands on a COROS Pace 3 or 4, but as many of you know, getting specific tech shipped to Nepal is a nightmare. I’ve reached out to several proxy services, but they aren't sure if they can actually clear it or deliver it here.

I am really wanting this watch for my runs. If anyone is traveling to Nepal from abroad (US, Europe, UAE, etc.) anytime soon and would be willing to bring one for me, I would be incredibly grateful.

I’m perfectly fine with a second-hand/used one as well if you’re looking to upgrade or sell yours! I’m happy to meet up in Kathmandu to pick it up and settle the payment.

Please let me know if you can help a fellow runner out! 🏃‍♂️🇳🇵

Coros pace 4 vs Garmin Forerunner 165

I’ve been getting into running lately and really enjoying the progress, but I’ve hit a wall. I want to start training more effectively (Zone 2 runs, etc.), but I don't have a watch to track my heart rate.

I’m currently stuck between the Coros Pace 3 and the Garmin Forerunner 165. In my local market, there’s a price difference of about 6,000–7,000 between them. The Garmin is available for around 8,000 , but I haven't seen any good deals on the Coros.

I’m leaning toward the Coros because I like the brand, but the Garmin price is tempting. Does anyone have experience with both? Also, if anyone knows where I can find the Pace 4 for a better price, please let me know!

Help needed: Receiving a smartwatch from the Philippines via PhilPost (Postal Service)

Hi everyone,

I’m getting a smartwatch sent to me from the Philippines through their local postal service (PhilPost). I have a few questions about how the process works once it reaches Nepal:

Where do I pick it up? Does it come to my local post office, or do I have to go to the General Post Office (GPO) in Sundhara, Kathmandu?

Customs & Taxes: Since it’s a smartwatch, will I be charged customs duty or VAT? If so, how is it calculated—is it based on the price listed on the box or do they check online prices?

Documents: What details do I need to give the sender in the Philippines to make sure it doesn't get stuck? (e.g., specific phone number, address format, or invoice).

Timeline: How long does PhilPost usually take to deliver to Nepal? Is it weeks or months?

If anyone has experience receiving electronics/parcels from abroad through the government post recently, please let me know. Thanks!

Need advice – buying smartwatch from Philippines

Hi everyone,

I’m from Nepal and I’m trying to buy a smartwatch from a seller I found on Facebook Marketplace in the Philippines.

The issue is I don’t want to get scammed, since it’s an upfront payment situation.

The seller is offering delivery for around 12,000 pesos, but they are asking for full payment in advance before shipping.

I’m not comfortable sending full payment upfront without any protection, so I wanted to ask:

What is the safest way to handle a transaction like this between Philippines → Nepal?

Is there any escrow service or safer payment method that people actually use in the Philippines?

Or any recommended way to reduce risk when dealing with Facebook Marketplace sellers internationally?

Also, if any international travelers are coming from the Philippines to Nepal, I would really appreciate advice or help on whether it’s safe/common to carry small items like a smartwatch during travel.

Any suggestions or experiences would really help.

Thanks in advance!

Anyone from Philippines traveling to Nepal soon?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a bit of help and hoping someone here might be able to assist.

I need to get a smartwatch from Manila (Philippines) to Kathmandu, Nepal, and I’m wondering if anyone here is traveling from the Philippines to Nepal anytime soon.

If so, I’d really appreciate it if you could help carry it with you and hand it over when you arrive in Kathmandu. Of course, I’m happy to compensate for the help and make it worth your time.

The item is small (a smartwatch), so it should be easy to carry.

If anyone is traveling or knows someone who is, please let me know. Or if there’s a better way to safely arrange something like this between the two countries, I’d also really appreciate advice.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Hey everyone! I’m just starting my running journey and I’ve narrowed my watch choices down to the Garmin Forerunner 165 and the Coros Pace 4.

I’m feeling pretty stuck because they both seem like amazing value, but they have different strengths. From what I’ve gathered:

Forerunner 165: I love the Garmin ecosystem and the "Daily Suggested Workouts" seem great for a beginner who doesn't know what kind of run to do each day. The AMOLED screen is beautiful, but I've heard the battery life isn't as long as Coros.

Coros Pace 4: The battery life looks insane (up to 19 days!), and it’s super lightweight. It also has dual-frequency GPS which I've heard is more accurate in tricky areas.

My situation:

I'm a total beginner, mostly doing road runs (and some tempo runs) around 5-7km right now. I don’t need anything crazy advanced, but I want something that will help me track my progress and stay motivated.

Questions for the experts:

For someone just starting out, is the Garmin "coaching" and ecosystem worth the higher price/shorter battery?

How is the app experience for both? I want something easy to navigate.

If you’ve used both, which one felt more comfortable for daily wear?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Hey Garmin fans,

As the title says, I am looking to buy a Forerunner 165.

The Challenge: I am based in Nepal, where Garmin availability is extremely limited.

The Request: * Looking for either a New or Used 165.

If you have an old one you’re looking to offload, I’m your buyer!

I am looking for someone willing to ship internationally (I will cover the costs) or someone traveling this way who wouldn't mind a meet-up in Kathmandu.

I’ve been tracking my runs on a basic setup and am ready to finally join the Garmin family with the 165. Please DM me if you have one available or have tips on how to get one here safely!
