Hi, I bought some 10% hydrogen peroxide whitening strips from a reputable brand (the brand “something nice”) and just wanted to ask if they are enamel safe. I searched it up and got mixed results. My enamel is slightly worn but not bad according to my dentist. I’d follow the directions properly (30 min application everyday for up to 2 weeks). I’ve tried weaker strengths in the past with minimal results. Thank you!

23F I don’t smoke. I have dry mouth from psych meds and had a lot of cavities in the past, I neglected my oral hygiene during highschool and also struggled with an eating disorder. I can confidently say that the past 3-4 years I’ve gotten my sh*t together, all my fillings done and get cleanings every 6 months. I had 1 root canal and 1 molar pulled. My last cleaning was 4 months ago, they said I have no bleeding when they poke my gums and no deep pockets. They also did bitewings, no new cavities but a few fillings need to be replaced because they are getting old and worn.

I brush twice a day with an oral b electric toothbrush and prevident toothpaste, and floss with a waterpik. I use setting 2/3. Sometimes I use string floss too. Nothing bleeds when I floss. I find I have puffy gums in front of my front teeth, I tried Peridex from my dentist for 2 weeks but it didn’t do anything! I’m worried I have gum disease and they missed it :(? Or maybe I should get bloodwork done? Is there anything else I can add to my oral health routine? How bad does it look?
