So I’ve started working in this small hospital clinic for around 6 months. There’s a colleague that I found attractive (female) but always kept it professional but gave off the easy going person but bit eccentric (just who I am) vibe.

I would normally say hi to her and small talks every now and then.

Around 1 month ago she randomly asked me about my ethnicity as I’m mixed and she wasn’t really close to me but it got us conversating . Anyways she then reveals she’s also mixed race (Asian and European) and I wouldn’t have guest it and she opened up about how she hates her dad (parented divorced because the dad is quite strict) and I said I’m not too close to my Asian background either due to my bad experience as well and she kind of went into a 10 min rant about bad experience about her dad and I felt bad. This was one of first times we really had a nice convo.

After this I got a sense she felt bit more comfortable with me.

Anyways the week she came into my room and vice versa and talking etc after we were talking and she started moaning about a patient and how the patient thinks she’s a lesbian etc and she’s gonna say out loud she has a BF to hint to the patient stop talking to her too much and making moves. I jokingly went along and said I’ll start shouting out your BF is a good man etc. After treating the patient , I was doing admin work when she silently came behind me and rubbed my shoulders and my tapping me.

This week I come in the morning and she doesn’t say hi and just throws paper at me for no reason. She got bit scared but I laughed it off saying I’m 30 now and body can’t handle injuries anymore and she laughed. she then talking about her sense of humour and how it’s dark humour and would then bring up social media etc and memes so I asked for her tiktok as she uses it a lot and she gave it.

My gut says I’m either in the friendzone but also wondering if there’s a chance as she went from saying hi to opening up to me and joking with me etc and throwing stuff at me within space of a month as she’s quite careful around people.

Your opinion would be appreciated. PS I’ve not been in relationship for over 7 years as busy with college/university and I like my own space etc but it’s getting boring now.
