Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice or experiences from people who struggled with weight loss while dealing with IBD and antidepressants.
For context, I have IBD/Crohn’s, so my diet is already pretty limited and sensitive. I can’t really tolerate a lot of fiber, legumes, or “healthy diet foods” that are usually recommended for weight loss. I also take antidepressants, and I honestly feel like since being on them my weight has become incredibly stubborn.
The frustrating part is that I already eat pretty little, and yet I barely lose weight (or sometimes don’t lose anything at all). It’s starting to feel really discouraging.
I’m not looking for dangerous crash-diet stuff, laxatives, or anything extreme — especially because of my IBD. But I wanted to ask if anyone in a similar situation has found:
supplements that genuinely helped
teas or drinks that reduced bloating/appetite
gentle metabolism support
anything that helped with water retention
products that didn’t upset your stomach/IBD
Especially if you also take antidepressants or have chronic inflammatory conditions.
I know there’s no miracle solution, but hearing real experiences or recommendations would honestly help a lot. Thank you 🫶
