Should I accept the marriage proposal from a police girl?
Hey everyone,
I wanted some honest opinions from people who have seen similar situations.
I am a software engineer and mostly my career opportunities are in metro cities. Recently, I got an arranged marriage proposal for a girl working in Military Police (similar to a constable-level but it's government job). She has a stable government job earning around 40k per month, so both families are positive about the match.
But my biggest concern is lifestyle compatibility and long-term future. Since her job is state-based, she will mostly stay and get transferred within one state, while my career is likely to remain in metro cities. Both families are saying things will work out because IT jobs nowadays offer hybrid or work-from-home options, so I can stay with her sometimes.
Still, I feel confused thinking about: Long-distance marriage for years, Managing future kids and family life,Meeting each other less often
They are also saying police jobs get long leaves during pregnancy and other situations, but overall it still feels complicated to me.
So I wanted to ask honestly:
●Has anyone seen or experienced this kind of marriage?
●How did you manage it?
●Did it become stressful later?
●Should I seriously consider this or think practically and avoid future complications?
Please share genuine opinions.
