any current artists? or within the last twenty years?

A lot of mainstream pop is just about love, and im kinda tired of it. I’m in a happy relationship, I'm not going through a breakup that makes it hard to listen to love/breakup songs. I just want to listen to songs that have more depth than romance (I'm not shitting on romance, I just want to think more).
Tiffany Day’s new album mainly has songs about identity, which i love and have been listening to a lot. But are there any current artists that make songs that are more of a social commentary or more political? (or more about identity). I’ve been getting into Japanese music, and so much of Japanese music talks about their social issues in Japan, and it's been very refreshing (sad but also refreshing), and I’ve realized so much of the Western music I listen to doesn’t have that much meaning other than love. I've also been relistening to mj and omg i miss his music and music similar to michael.
But I also don’t want to purely listen to music that is so heavy and emotional that I can't casually listen to it like tupac for example. I like tupac but it's hard to casually listen when so much of his music is so deep and personal that it's hard to listen to it in the car all the time. There’s the obvious, the strokes and radiohead and other bands that make music commenting on societal norms, but are there any other current artists? I am open to most genres (i listen to mainly hyperpop, rnb, pop, hawaiian/islander music, and music in other languages). I also would love recs of rap artists too.
