Saturday evening D Line crowd opening weekend

This was my Nicely crowded D line train from 7th/metro going home towards wilshire/normandie at about 8:30 PM. This was in the front most car which typically is less crowded than the ones right in the center of the 7th street station.

It warmed my heart so much have used this line daily since moving to Ktown and working in DTLA typically at this hour on a weekend I’d be one of maybe 5-10 in each train car and it felt like a ghost town.

But this train was so full of life kids, elders, and some people trying the system for the first time.

I chatted with some people next to me, and found for one of them it was there first time on LA metro period. I just have a big smile each time I am riding to or from work now because my line is getting used :,)

But that 20 minute head way has to change fast so much night life in Ktown and sometimes downtown depending on events and 20minute head ways at 8 is killer.

Today I had to say goodbye to my beautiful boy of 15 years and 9 months, we inherited him from my dads mother figure when he was about 6 and he gave us some of the best time love companionship I could ever ask for. He saw me go from teen to young adult. You all know how deep the wiener dogs love can run and we felt it till the very end. Cherish your friends when they are here. If anyone has any tips on grieving please share. I feel so lost right now
