I created another Moc today
I recently order another Onepu after I purchased a purple Miru from EasternTempleForge, and made another Onu Matoran who happens to be one of the guards of the Ussalry.
If animals such as mammoths, mastodons and sabertooth cats were still alive today, what would that be like as modern humans living alongside them?
Well, if they were alive up until the present, and maybe throughout human history, the Native Americans would probably see Smilodon as a demon who stalks. Lewis and Clark would be terrified at this fearsome encounter. As well as mesmerized by the abundance of prehistoric fauna that for the landscape like an African Serengeti. If they manage to live up to the present day, this might create problems than good to modern society. i imagine hikers that might be confront by American Lions and Saber tooth. I also imagine a columbian mammoth attempting across a highway, which a driver in a semi honks at it, further provoking the animal, which then attacks the semi, knocking it over. Unless they build a bridge over the highway for the animals to cross. What do you guys think?
What do you think about the original Walking With Trilogy in general?
From What it’s worth, the series were pretty enjoyable to watch, though for the most part there are some inaccuracies here and there, which you are welcome to point out. Despite these, they were a great watch, and I personally think the cgi still holds up to date. They did a great job with the series. Let me know what you guys think.
What do you think about Andrewsarchus?
By the late Eocene, mammals began to diversify and grew bigger in size, left vacant by the dinosaurs. Mammals such as Andrewsarchus and Hyeanadon became vicious.
Though recent studies suggest that Andrewsarchus was more of an opportunistic scavenger rather than a hunting animal, though it might be possible that they would go for smaller animals, anything that was easy game.
While a ancestor of the whale, despite being a “giant hoofed wolf” in media, as I much like the concept, Andrewsarchus belonged to the artiodactyl— even toed ungulates— most likely also related to hippos and Entelodont, also known as hell pigs. So not a “sheep in wolf’s clothing”.
What do you guys think?
The Elysian Age
This is map of the Elysian Age, my sword and sorcery world, that stars Aiden the Avalonian. Pretty much this takes place in the far future in a post apocalyptic world, when humanity discovered magic and revert back to a Bronze Age like world. Though, I tend to leave that ambiguous. In this world, many regions are sparely populate, only scattered pockets of cities and villages remain. Aiden is from Avalon. Unlike most countries, his place is wild. There are no roads, just great expanse of wilderness plus several villages. Empires such as Thalia, inspired by Rome, tend to see Avalonians and other wild folk as lesser and considered them as barbarians. This map is for my Aiden the Avalonian project.
To give you an idea: here is a list of the countries in this world. Mind you, this is a work in progress.
Amon (ancient Canaan and Assyria and east of the Middle East):
In the west, the rolling pastoral meadowlands of Amon offer rich bounty for settlers, but these green fields dry up and turn to open desert as one progresses eastward. There, the arid land is dotted by the odd bit of green, as if one has entered a world of only sand and the ceaseless blue sky. Still, the beauty of Amon’s deserts rivals those of her meadows, though the former is, of course, far more unforgiving.
Between the ancient empire of Charon to the south and the mighty Hellas to the northwest, Amon culture is largely unique, and comprises some of the best artisans and craftsman in all the world. The Amonitish religions of Abu and Asherah resist the dark influence of Pazuzu whose devilish eyes rest enviously on all that he wishes were his by conquest. Should Charon march across the world as once it did, Amon would be the first land lying in its way. There are many whose prayers importune the gods to ensure that Amon’s legendary archers and the fearsome asshuri be bulwark enough against the spread of that reptilian corruption.
Amonites are of dark complexion from the suns of their lands and almost always dark-haired. Men wear blue-black beards, while women often braid their hair or interlace it with beads. Shorter than the average Westerner, Amonites tend to be compactly built, though this is not always the case. In the meadow lands, Amonite complexion turns fair, even pale, and frames are lither and less generally powerful.
Avalon (Gaelic British isles, that includes England, Ireland, and Scotland)
There is little of worth in this land, mostly a region of endless hills and low, rough mountains, of dusky, wooded valleys or dark scrub forests, alongside steep gulleys and stony plains upon which little grows. A few small rivers and streams run through the countryside, feeding bogs and ponds or some isolated lakes. Cloud and fog shrouds this land, forcing upon it a lonely and dismal mien, while gusts of wind wail through the hills like a banshee, a never-ending lament which shortens tempers and drives men towards gloomy, monstrous thoughts.
There are no major cities, no great accomplishments of engineering, and few roads, with the only notable man-made structures being the few forts made by Thalian colonists and ruins dating to the age before the Cataclysm. Despite this, Avalonians cling to it fiercely, and few stray from their homeland, though the south — with its wantonness, wealth, and indolence — beckons always. To a Avalonian, their homeland is their rightful place, though at times it can seem more a purgatory than a heaven.
Their god is Balor, bringer of doom and destruction. He had lost an eye during a battle between the giants. Hence dubbed, The One-Eyed god. Father of the Wild Hunt, for he led his comrades into the greatest hunt Avalon had ever seen. As a rite of passage to adulthood, one must take on the biggest game in the region.
Balor is a grim and gloomy god, who is worshipped by the majority of the Avalonians, ever watching from atop his mountain in dark clouds or obscuring mists, ready to pass a disapproving judgment on any and all. Still, he is said to approve of an individual's courage and tenacity, even if the human is too frail to succeed in a major task. He isn't so much worshipped as invoked. At times, Aiden exclaims phrases like "Balor and his demons!" as a curse. He is called upon when trying to gather one's courage.
Avolonian believe he is the cause of earthquakes, as well as storms, plagues, blizzards, even the one blizzard that caused Thule to become a frozen wasteland, and famine. Avalonians are his chosen people, and because he has bestowed them at birth with "[the] power to strive and slay" - the courage to go on, survive, and vanquish adversity, he considers any further pleas to be an insult to those gifts. Balor disdains worship and is offended by flattery. So, even prayers of praise and gratitude will be punished. The only way to show devotion to Balor is through action, though building a monument of a mountain struck by lightning, Balor's emblem, is permissible.
Britonia (Byzantine Empire):
Castilia (Medieval England and France)
This country has a feudal system, meaning that these lands are run by a lord of the manor and rely heavily on peasantry. The peasants don’t own any property but live u dear the same roof as their lord of the manor. In some places, churches were built dedicated to their gods.
Charon (Ancient Egypt):
Charon is one of the oldest civilizations in the known world. The God-kings rule over cities with divine power.
The cities has many canals and waterways they zigzag through its infrastructure.
Their symbol is the Sun Bird, carrying the sun within its talons. It is believed that this bird is the guardian of the earth. There is also the Moon Bird.
Their gods consist a Tribunal, representing cosmic order.
The Charonites were a tall folk, with olive skin and dark eyes, similar to the people in the south, and yet fashion gold jewelry. Their weopon of choice was the kapesh, a curved blade. They considered cats to be sacred to the Charonites, and if one house-Maggie died, the whole family from the grandparents down to the kitchen-maids shaved their heads in grief, mummified the dead beast, and buried it in their ancestral tomb as if it were a child.
Charon faced a bitter war against other nations, including the Nessians, having seized the city and broke through the city walls, taking all of its richest. The war was a success for the Emperor, who then beheaded the king of Nessus, Dannum.
Ekaternia (midieval Russia)
Fornic Wilds (Pictish Wales)
A vast wilderness west of Avalon, where the Fornic People reside.
Hellas (Ancient Classical Greece):
It has been said that Hellas might rival Thalia, if it could keep itself unified. Plagued by internecine warfare, the king must constantly put down rebellions from varying city-states. Even then, Hellas is a power to be reckoned with, and the king strives to acquire and sustain control so that he might indeed challenge Thalia’s position as the most powerful of the Elysian Nations.
For now, that is not to be, and thus Hellas is a constant source of employment for varying mercenary companies. Whether one fights for the king or an upstart, ambition and coin are plentiful for a reputable sell-sword.
Hellians are tan folk of some height. Men often wear ringleted beards, and women braid their hair. The Hellian people are known for their sharp, hawkish noses, and are physically a mixture of western and eastern bloodlines, showing a bit of Sudarian, Aslanian, and even Amonitish influence. They range widely in appearance and physique, with slightly darker skin than their northern neighbors, and generally darker hair. Eyes are usually hazel or brown, occasionally darker.
For a time, Hellas was subject to many hostile internal conflict and raids. Because of its grand splendor, Hellas was a target to many foreign invaders, including seafaring pirates.
Holland (Netherlands):
Sparsley wooded, Holland lies on the northern border of
Kvich (medieval Poland):
Northeastern-most country among the countries of the dreaming west, Kvich is still young compared to its more established neighbors in the south and west. In this remote corner of the civilized world, the wheel of progress turns at a slower pace than to the west — and, in fact, it appears that the Kvichians sometimes drag their feet to halt the forward march of progress.
From a political perspective, Kvich is broken into four major territories, with generous overlap between each border. These territories — kingdoms, more accurately — are held together by a ruling clan or family backed by the peasantry to secure their sovereignty, and with cooperating families and clans to enforce the rule, collect taxes, and so forth.
These alliances are fluid and shift freely, as often as the wind changes direction. The kingdoms are named after their ruling family. Each house has a fortified keep and land holdings in a defensible area, usually near favorable land for farming and raising livestock. The rest of the kingdom’s holdings consist of rugged farmland, stark plains, rockstrewn hills, and a rawboned, healthy people who live in villages and try to eke out a life for themselves.
Kvichians are tall, rangy people, with fair to ruddy skin color. They are built for the cold climate and harsh living conditions. Hair color is blonde to light brown, with eyes of hazel, green, and blue.
Lavanya (Classical Vedic India):
Lavanyan is an ancient and proud kingdom, ruled by the warrior caste and mystics adept with their own peculiar range of magic. As the huge Lavanyan host continues to swell in size, like a bubble it must burst forth into an empire and the day of Lavanyan glory.
Nessus (ancient Babylon and Mesopotamia)
A desert land located in the east of Aslan, and it hosts a vast empire compared to the one in the west.
Niflheim (Viking Scandinavia, with various Nordic tribes)
Tall and fair and blue-eyed. Their god is Erik who sits on his golden throne alongside his Valkyrie warriors and his sons Dunar, who wields a powerful battle axe and Elding, each tribe has its own king. They are wayward and fierce. They fight all day and drink ale and roar their wild songs all night. When warriors die in battle with honor intact, they will live in Hildagard, the Hall of Virtue. A warrior’s paradise.
In the Niflheimer belief, there is also a god of the underworld, Vidar, the god of revenge who dwells in the eternal fires of Hel, sitting on his stone throne. Also known as the Flaming God or Burning One. He is described as being devil-like in appearance with big long horns petruding on each side of his head with a skull-like face and that his hands are surmounted with sharp claws, sharper than any blade. Though, seldom worshiped, a cult is formed to dedicate Vidar through human sacrifices, those of pure blood.
Nifleheim is divided into four kingdoms, Kvland, Rogaland, Alvheim, and Sundhed, each are at eternal conflict with each other.
The people of Kvland, are red-haired and more bulkier than the rest of the three kingdoms.
The people of Rogaland are blonde, whereas Alvheim are dark-haired, Sundhed, brown-haired.
Niflheim extends as far north as any man has ever roamed, into vast and inhospitable tundras. Bordering the southwest is Avalon, home of the Britons. The other bordering to the east is Ruthenia. Thalia, home of the lies south, beyond the Narrow Sea.
The land of Niflheim is famed as a place of endless, trackless ice and snowy plains, a primal land bordered by mountains and limitless, borealis-tossed sky. There is only the white of snow and ice, and weather alternates between crisp stillness, moaning winds, and heavy snowfall, with naught else. Wind moans across the ice-crusted snow, bitingly cold, and the sun’s light is stark and bright, offering little comfort to man, beast, or plant. Little can thrive here, save for snow-furred monstrosities, and those who hunt them. That is what is said of Niflheim
The truth, however, is that Niflheim is a richer and more diverse environment than can be expected. The northern most reaches of Niflheim is indeed as harsh and pitiless as any place in the world: at the uttermost north, there are endless rocky mountains and glaciers, crevasses tens of miles wide, unimaginably deep warrens of caverns formed by the folding and collision of the continent as the lands themselves have shifted over millions of years. The air is thin and difficult to breathe, and only the hardiest of beings can survive there. Snow falls regularly, and the winds shift it across the landscape in a near-ceaseless effort to brush away any visible sign of purchase, landmark, or even a trace of character. The aurora borealis dances wildly above these icy, gleaming plains, and often the only signs of human habitation are the small tent-villages of nomad tribes.
As one travels south, the land softens. Icy plains give way to snowy plains, and rocky mountain ranges are broken by the occasional valley, sheltered enough to allow the occasional tree to eke out a living. These light patches of foliage thicken the further one goes towards the southern kingdoms, and the lowermost third of Nifleheim’s span — its more populated region — has light forests and even foothills with patches of hardy scrub.
The countless islands and fjords of the coast allow the Nords to develop their own culture of ship raiding and fishing, and along this narrow band of land boasts a string of fishing villages and even towns, dotting the shoreline with only a few miles between. Some of these places are even connected by roads, between which are farms and herd-lands.
Though this gradation between the arctic north and the more habitable south does not go as far as actual verdant forests or dense woods, it is nonetheless something between the stark snowy lands to the north and the grassy, fog-bound hills of Calmaria. Should any traveler need to voyage to Niflheim, the vestiges of civilization are here in semblance, if not substance.
Living in these tundras are the mammoths, elephantine beasts with brown shaggy coats, with curved tusks as long as a tall man. These animals roam the lands of Niflheim in herds, hunted by Nords for food, fur, or precious ivory. While the fur can be used as armor, their tusks are crafted into weapon handles or ivory. The meat of mammoth will feed an entire clan for months, purely because there is so much of it on even a single animal. In battle, a mammoth is a fearsome adversary, often requiring the strength and skill of many warriors to bring down these beasts. While between their great strength and lethal tusks, an enraged mammoth is more than capable of killing a group of careless hunters. Even peppered with a dozen arrows, such creatures will fight on, trampling men that seek to kill them or goring them with their tusks. Some warriors among their Vidarish leaders have a different use for the mammoths they come across in the frozen wilderness of Niflheim. These huge animals are shackled and enslaved, either through mundane means or Vidarish sorceries, and used as beasts of war, driven into battles in order to dishearten their enemies before being unleashed to crush them.
Living in cold dark caves, the cave bears make shelter in them. These bears can also be found in others places such as Avalon, in the mountains in the north, and in the steppes between Tiran and the Wild Lands. They are a lot bulkier than regular bears, and perhaps even larger than that.
The Great Elk is a very skidish creature, found mostly in the forests and mountains of Avalon, Holland, and Niflheim. Because of its large stature, its fraught demeanor would be strange in any other place. But the great elk knows how fierce the predators are, and that it is safer to flee from them than risk its life in a fight. The antlers of great elks are very large, and make for an excellent source of keratin. This, of course, makes it a valuable resource. Which is why human hunters seek their antlers. But hunting these great beasts won’t be easy because of their quick speed and ability to bound over most obstacles.
Subotai (the Mongol Steppes):
Also known as the Varoki Highlands, a region filled with rolling steppes and mountains, and even hot dry desert which lies to the south. It is here that the barbaric Varoki reside.
Living in the Crimson Wastes in the Far East, are the Voraki, a nomadic race, each led by a Darga, a chief or a warlord. To civilized lands, they are considered barbaric and warlike in nature. During a time when their kingdom was once flourishing, a great calamity engulfed their kingdom, leaving what little remained.
They were forced to find a new home. Rightfully so, they became avid conquered. The Voraki believe conquest is their given right. They are horse-mounted warriors, wielding deadly weapons such as maxes and spears, which turn them into effective warriors.
The women (rarely) partake in many different battles. As a rite of passage, young warriors partake in hunting big game to learn to be adults.
The Voraki warriors are a fearsome lot. They often ride on horses but would sometimes ride the fiercest of beasts, wargs and eofor— hell pigs. The Voraki were a force to be reckoned and even feared by the eyes of civilized lands.
The steppes that they lived in was thousands of miles across, stretching from the east to the west. Before this land was even occupied, the Voraki were descendants of the Thulians, an advanced race from the northern continent. Over time, their old ways were ultimately forgotten, and now they live in clans.
Thalia (Ancient Classical Rome)
Thalia is known for its fertile cropland and many forests and lush meadowlands. Multiple rivers that run directly through it make this a perfect land of civilization, and the kingdom was powerful throughout the ages. Thalia is a western kingdom that is bordered by Castilian in the west and Hellas in the east.
Despite its prosperity, this land has dealt with many hostile invasions from its neighbors. Like those of Britonia.
Thalia sought to expand its empire, making these wild lands tamed, safer. But, quite understandably, these barbarians object this. They were free people and they would fight them to the death to keep their land safe from the clutches of the Empire.
Thalia wasn’t always an imperialistic entity, no, far from it. Thalia as a nation were a freethinking people, full of scholars and philosophers, home to many libraries. They were curious about their homeland and even what was beyond their home.
When Tigon took the seat as Chancellor, the republic had converted into an empire. Tigon was looking forward to expand his ever growing empire, and wipeout all those who oppose him.
Tigon was a wise leader, who led his people into prosperity.
Yamato Isles (Feudal Japan)
The Yamato Isles is mostly made up of grasslands, jungles and bamboo forests, and snowy mountains. Cities are mostly found near rivers with mountains providing a scenic backdrop, while smaller settlements such as towns and villages are found on rocky grasslands, close to the sea. Temples and other religious structures are usually built on hilltops or in the jungle.
The climate varies from season to season, spring usually comes during midyear and lasts for three months when the pink cherry blossoms bloom, followed by summer, autumn and winter at the end of the year until the second month of the following year.
The Yamatoi worship the Shin Dragon, a great celestial being, father of wisdom and courage, but also has the power to summon typhoons, earthquakes and tsunamis, if humanity can commits such terrible atrocities.
Zhang (Ancient China; particularly the Han Empire)
An ancient empire, stronghold of the world’s greatest wizards and masters of the eastern world, Zhang has a powerful army with a sound leadership based Paikang. Zhang is forever at war against Chandra in the southeast, whose god-kings vie with them for supremacy in the acrane mysteries of the Crimson Order.
Zhang is a land east of Elysia, with the Paikang, the swamps of the dead are also in Zhang along with the Great Wall of Zhang, which, at least partially, separates Zhang from Subotai.
Zhang has jungles, where the natives and grey apes live, and the Blitz flower grows.
For a while, at least, the inhabitants of Zhang worshipped the beings from Yog as gods. In ancient times, Zhang was occupied by the conquerors from a mysterious continent in the southern ocean, Antillia.
Following the great disaster, many of the surviving natives were enslaved by this empire. After thousands of years, these native slaves and perhaps the gentle Zhangese, were able to overthrow this evil empire. Likewise Lavnaya was somehow involved in their rebellion. The remnants of this master-race fled west, conquering the land of the giant-king and founding Nubia.
The people of Zhang are said to be yellow-skinned. They worship Yun and his priests dwell in the jungles. The Zhangese populace speaks Mandeer in the north and Min in the south.
What’s the deal with Double D’s relationship?
Is Naz dating Kevin or Double D? I’m guessing that she Keven’s girlfriend and had a soft spot for Double D due to his caring nature. Yet there is as also this one instrance where Sarah falls in love with Double D, causing Jimmy to become a “lone wolf”.
Now, this is a in-universal question. Maybe for my own world, the earliest known super hero was Rocket Jack, whom despite having no super powers, he relies on a jet back to fight crime, dating back in the 1890s. The Black Phantom was another hero who didn’t have super powers instead relies on gadgets and the night to his advantage fighting crime in the 1920s, alongside Specter. The 1930s was a golden age for super heroes. Technology at that time was at its all high. However, there was an increase in crime so the government enlisted some super heroes, through experimental augmentation, each having their uni abilities and powers. By World War 2, the American heroes aided in defeating the Germans with the help of a rogue super soldier Uberman.
All I’m needing now is Turaga Onewa then the collection will be complete.
Unlike Superman, he was a test subject to the Nazis during world war 2, but ultimately turns against them. His powers include heat vision, flight, super speed, and he can emit high frequency sound waves, too much for human ears. At first evil, he soon gets an epiphany, and decides to do some good in the World.
In the Bible, it does mention it being a great fish or a whale— depending on which version. Whale or fish, it tends to be ambiguous. So I decided to go for a coelacanth look, indicating that this creature is old, since the dawn of creation. And when Jonah refuse to take part of saving the people of Nineveh, he boarded a ship bound to Spain. But a storm hit and he was thrown over board, and then got swallowed by a great fish and was trapped for three days. Jonah eventually gave in, and the fish spat him out onto dry land, commanded by God. Jonah did eventually go to Nineveh and warned the locals of an impending doom if they did not change their wicked ways within forty days. Forty days passed and the people of Nineveh were spared because they changed their ways, much to Jonah’s disappointment. However, he did learn something after that. I’m not preaching or anything, but this teaches us despite how people— even if they are enemies— who committed such atrocities they are entitled to forgiveness.
The White Death, an albino Great Sailback. A digital I did for a project
Rooster is one of those heroes that are obscure. And there are always some who always plant to be heroes themselves, such as nerds and diehard fans. Rooster Boy is no exception. Having no powers, he relies on his egg-throwing skills to fight bad guys. And to get from place to place he rides a bike with a whisker basket at the front for carrying eggs. He sometimes uses a grappling hook to get it certain places. But Rooster Boy lacks strength and relies on wit, which sometimes leads to some undesirable outcome.
In the jungles of Minerva, the Braka, a lemur-like alien creature with six limbs, likely using its four limbs as a means of climbing from tree to tree to get away predators from the deadly Muaka.
The Hortusk has four tusks used for digging through ice and snow as well as fishing and jousting for a mate. They tend to live in groups along coastlines where they congregate for matings.
