As I slowly start and attempt to rebuild a huge collection I once owned as a child (and threw them all away when I “grew up”) I share with you one of my recent purchases - unopened Takanuva and Makuta sets. While the Makuta box has unfortunately had damaged and is technically partially open at the seams, the inside bags of parts etc are untouched. The Takanuva box has a few kinks but otherwise in great condition.
I grabbed Makuta for ¥15,000 ($100USD), and Takanuva for a quite a bit more at ¥30,000 ($200USD). Definitely spent quite a bit on these but I think it was worth it.
Will be posting more soon!
After the reformation of Spherus Magna, Ackar stepped into his role as head of the Spherus Magnan Defense Force with a renewed sense of purpose. While he carries the weight of 100,000 years of combat experience—and a quiet longing for the friend who changed his world—his spirit has never been stronger.
Though Mata Nui gifted him the power of Fire, Ackar remains a Glatorian at heart. To him, elemental energy is a tool, but a sharp blade and a steady stance are what win wars. He’s a veteran who prefers the grit of hand-to-hand combat over a flashy display of power, using them only in the most dire of circumstances.
For this revamp, I wanted Ackar to look refreshed but grizzled. I swapped the washed-out dark grey for deep black accents to give him that classic "Tahu" contrast. He’s no longer just a fighter in the arena, he’s a leader of a new era, and so I wanted to also strengthen his armor to reflect that.
A while ago, I threw together a lil (read: big) Toa Iruini MOC scaled up to Titan proportions, complemented by a big ol' rifle. He's been beefed up using mainly other Metru-era sets with dark green pieces, but also some exo-force and Karda-era sets here and there.
I'm especially proud of my design for the feet; I wanted something similar in vibe to Roodaka's foot design, but even more dramatic. Detail shots of those are in the last 3 images. They don't stand up when removed from the build, but balance each other out when used in tandem.
He'll stand under his own weight with some effort, but I need to come up with a better form+function design for the hips eventually. Any suggestions appreciated!
I imagine him being from the same species as Botar.
I just wanted to make a big dude quickly so I mostly used big pieces, but I'm still pretty happy with how he turned out.

>A lifetime ago, on a burning island, Toa Lewa was joined to the Bohrok swarm. He did so willingly, to protect his people; he let them devour his mind and turn his axe to their dark task. He only tore the Krana controlling him from his face when it asked him to betray his heart.
>Now, with the devil dead and his duty done, he finds he cannot abandon what he knows now were Mata Nui's most loyal servants.
A 6000 word post-canon fic with elements of body horror, religious horror, and "bug brain that latches onto your face and eats your free will" horror. But hear me out here: what if those things were good.
I recognize this isn't the sub's usual subject matter but any reads and comments are greatly appreciated. 🙇♂️
Art in the post is by Demitsorou, who let me use it with permission. It's a few years old, but inspired what this fic is doing.
I want to know if there's anything in this community such as a "purist" build. While I absolutely ADORE how wild most MOCs are here, I'm planning to make something very simple that doesn't stand out that much and shares resemblances to the Voya Nui aesthetic. Would it be okay if I, for example, used a Nuva mask for a Matoran? or would that look too out of place?
Ignore the error in number 4, the one with the most votes wins.
Got this guy from my local BricksN'Minifigs grand opening!! saw him and NEEDED to get him, he's my favorite Toa Metru!
It’s all I can see.
