Guangzhou coffee stops?

Hello there fellow coffee lovers, I am flying to Guangzhou end of this month and was wondering if anyone knew any good coffee roasters or coffee supply shops there?

I will be going to Shenzhen if needed, but I’ve heard that Shenzhen’s coffee scene is directly to businesses rather than consumers. Guangzhou is apparently the opposite of that?

Anyone have any suggestions??

For those using hopper-based grinders, do you leave your beans inside or do you simply single dose?

I’m currently using the Niche Zero as my daily grinder, and I have a cheaper flat-burr grinder that I usually use for a bag of beans that aren’t daily cups, but they’re also single dose.

I was planning to purchase a GBW grinder (tbd) for my daily cups and use my Niche Zero as my ‘experiment’ grinder.

For those who have hopper based grinders, do you guys leave your beans inside? And if yes, does it go stale as fast as people say it does?

Thank you, Emilee Bryant! 🥹

I’ve been struggling with consistent stacked tulips (let alone the wiggly latte arts 🥲) but I recently watched a video of Emilee Bryant breaking down how to pour a tulip more consistently and thank God, it had made things click even better for me.

In the video (link: https://youtube.com/shorts/qmlunDQYnek?si=JDVQUu1sMZ5LtqcS), she broke down her thoughts when pouring and it just tickled the right parts of my brain!!

That said, I only started doing latte arts January of this year so I have a long way to go, but this is so exciting!!

Endgame machine!

My last machine was a Breville Dual Boiler.. Grinder is still the trusted Niche Zero, but I am very, VERY happy with the setup. Super blessed to be able to even upgrade to such an overkill of a machine 🤣 Had to reduce the steam wand temperature because the default was so strong!
