I reported a company to the CFIA for misleading advertising and it was confirmed as misleading. Do companies usually get a warning or do they get slapped with a fine?

Just curious. It was about insane amounts of sugar in their gluten-free products, like over 200g of sugar in one product and close to that much sugar in another, yet claiming these products were healthy.

The CEO of the company didn’t respond to my email about the misleading advertising claiming their products with insane amounts of sugar are healthy. They’ll have to respond to the CFIA though LOL.

I thought maybe I could be a baking consultant focusing on cakes (specializing in gluten free and vegan cakes, but I can do with gluten and dairy too) because of my experience in this area. I’m not sure the demand is high enough for this, but my skills are up there.

I have recipes for various cakes, some using professional tier ingredients rather than ingredients solely used in home baking. The best part is I would love the fact that I helped people learn to make desserts others will enjoy.

Do you think there would be enough interest in this? How would I advertise? Cold emailing cafes and restaurants in my area? Maybe I could offer menu development as well?

I’m not sure what else I could put my skills towards. Other than this I’m good at research and strong analytically.

I’m in Vancouver, BC, but willing to go down to Washington or Oregon for some ayahuasca. Honestly I don’t think I really have trauma, but I have anhedonia so I can’t feel anything my whole life.

Bonus points if you know a more luxury kind of retreat. I want to compare the price and whatever is included in a more luxury retreat to a typical one before deciding which one to choose.

Also, ideally the retreat would be not too far from the train station because I’d probably take a train down there and maybe have to Uber to the retreat.

I got the most expensive hair cut of my life today. It looks beautiful I think, but the lady at the hair salon said it still looks greasy. I agree that the bottom half of the hair strands didn’t look like they were just washed, even after she washed it twice, and she questioned what shampoo I was using. I don’t know if I should switch my shampoo back to Tresemme or what now. Is it possible the salon shampoo just didn’t suit my hair well? Usually my hair doesn’t look like that when I wash it and it looks clean…
