Recently I moved to a location that can only receive wireless internet through cell towers. My landlord said the previous tenant had Telus, so I went with them figuring some equipment must still be around & working. I setup the router & the Telus Wifi Hub, and internet works except my Xbox One is stuck on Strict/Double NAT type. I'm trying to switch it to Open so that I can online game with friends.

From talking to a friend, he thinks it likely has to do with the fact the internet comes through the cell towers and that means they have to give me a dynamic IP address? He's almost certain a static IP address would work, but apparently Telus only gives those to businesses.

Any suggestions? Any info that might help? Thanks for any help you can offer!

Hopefully this is a good spot to post this question. Just trying to find an active community in hopes of an answer.

First off, to hell with Telus! They are absolutely useless, and can apparently offer no help. They told me I need to find a 3rd party tech support and hold no responsibility should anything happen to my modem &/or router. I am totally ready to find a new ISP if this can't be resolved! I'd recommend anybody go for any ISP but Telus!
