Started March 28th at 2.5ml. Titrated up to 3ml starting tomorrow. I will gradually increase my dose. NP originally had me pulling 15 in the syringe. Tomorrow I’ll pull 20, next Friday 25, following Friday 30 until my next appointment on July 2nd. I’ll post my results below.

Still trying to understand it myself so if someone else can help, I’d appreciate it. I’m on my cycle now, so my NP thinks my weight is actually lower.

I spoke with a psychiatrist, who asked about my health history before prescribing meds. I told her I have HBP, high cholesterol, and OA. My mom passed of CHF 6 years ago. She recommended I go see a cardiologist to get a baseline of my heart health, and I couldn’t help but burst into tears.

I started thinking of my mom’s passing and if she would have been alive if she gotten the help she needed earlier. I also was anxious of getting a test and getting the same diagnosis. I was pretty embarrassed I freaked out like that. My mind always goes to the worst, I guess so I can prepare? I know I can’t bury my head in the sand, and I am awaiting a referral to see a cardiologist now. I’ve been obese since childhood and my PCP hasn’t prescribed any meds for cholesterol, but she did for HBP. But my cholesterol has been high for 5 years. I’m making changes everyday, and just hoping it’s not too late. My fear is my tests are gonna say “you’re gonna die”. I know that’s morbid, but that’s also why I’m in therapy.

Has anyone seen a cardiologist for the same (or any) reason? What should I expect? I definitely am looking for a kind, compassionate doctor, because I’m internally freaking out already before an appointment was even made.
