Where would you buy a Rugby Card Game?

I have developed a card game with a rugby theme over the past few years. I printed a few hundred, took some feedback, and I am prepping for another order. My focus has been on small formatting changes and getting players going as quickly as possible.

Part of my current research is where would South Africans buy a card game like this? It’s currently on its own website and Takealot. Are there any other places where you suggest I focus on selling (Amazon etc)?

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently launched the first small print run of a rugby-themed card game here in South Africa. The core loop involves building a squad, managing players, staff, and resources (bucks/admin cards).

As I prepare to tweak the design for the next production run, my main priority is reducing the time to first play. I want to get players up and running as quickly as possible.

Back in the day, we relied entirely on the rulebook in the box. Now, we have the advantage of setting up YouTube tutorials, QR codes, and website guides.

For those who have successfully launched or designed tabletop games:

- What are your best tips for modern onboarding?

- How do you balance the physical rulebook with digital aids without frustrating the player?

- Are there specific layout changes on the cards themselves that you found dramatically reduced the learning curve?

Would love to hear what worked (and what didn't) for your games. Thanks!
