I thought of an idea I posted as suggestion:

At the moment, it's hard to think about geyser usage in fun interactive ways because of it's randomness. I was thinking that a rumble sound could play a little bit before the geyser erupt to help players know in advance. This could also be on another frequency (game event) to be detected by Sculk Sensors, making it possible to link a light indicator that one will activate, for mini-game purpose for exemple.

Unless there is something in the work to make in activable with redstone or something.
Any of those would be really cool for mini-games, like a parkour track and more !

This was thought with mini-games and maybe farms/contraption in minds. Sulfur cube already add so much about this that I'm thinking they are doing geyser as a little perk without considering it enough around the theme of the drop. While those can add so much fun too, but for that they need some tweaks.

So Keralis in "Hermitcraft 11: I Could Stay Here All Day… | Ep.13" was trying out a way for the villager to be on a boat journey to fish, so I tried it out and found that.

I'm using copper golem and their search for an item to sort in a raw of copper chests for it to go through each of them one by one. They will go back when they reach the last one. (The chests are empty*)

The problem Keralis encountered with the villager in a boat being pulled by something is that at one point the boat sink and the villager escape the boat because of it; the only way to not have that was to have half a block of water using slabs. Even trapdoors wouldn't work.

The effect is pretty nice, we can add multiple copper chest at the village for it to stay a bit longer at the bay. BUT if there is a copper chest in the land not far from the bay, the golem will go out (or try endlessly) if it can see it.
Having only half a block of water is not ideal but that's something !

EDIT: Thanks to XeroTrinity comment bellow, there is a better way ! With the copper golem fully immerged underwater, it slows their speed to the point the boat doesn't sink ! So with the copper chests track under 4 block of water this do the trick ! No more "safety slab" are needed !

Problem solving with the community, that's why Minecraft is fun 😃
