Hair direction

I wear my hair in a pony tail a lot. I guess I trained it to go away from my face because when I wear it down, I can’t get it to drape over my forehead or the sides of my face. It still insists on kind of sticking up before dropping back down.

Am I making any sense? LOL

How do you train your hair so that it lies flat against your forehead and doesn’t stick up?

I’m getting ready to buy a new iPad. As has become my habit, I want to correct past mistakes, but I’ve never been able to get a handle on this one. No matter whose advice I follow regarding when and how long to charge devices, all of my devices always seem to plummet in battery life way too soon.

I used to leave devices plugged in all of the time unless I was on the move, in which case I plugged them in as frequently and as long as I could.

Then I read that you should let devices get as close to zero as possible (without actually dying) before you charge them again. I tried, even though I found it extremely difficult because it seemed like I was always approaching zero when I wasn’t near an outlet.

Now, I don’t know if this is all devices or just iPhones, but we’re only supposed to charge to 80% for some reason?

Anyone who has had great battery life for years, please tell me how you’re doing it or who you’re listening to?

I’m trying to set up a small TV for use with my iPhone while camping.

I have a dongle connecting to my iPhone 16 Pro via USB-C on one end.

On the other end, the dongle has three ports; HDMI, USB-C, and USB.

I have an HDMI cable connecting the HDMI port on the dongle to the HDMI port on the TV. Streaming Hulu from my phone works perfectly.

Then I have a USB mini-B connected to a portable hard drive and plugged into the USB port on the dongle. Nothing appears to be happening.

I searched for the portable drive via Apple’s native Files app and a few others. I also tried opening VLC and finding the external drive that way. I can’t find it anywhere.

I wondered if my iPhone just isn’t strong enough to power the external drive, but Google says that isn’t likely.

The portable drive is a Toshiba HDDR500E03X.

Can anyone help troubleshoot?

Thank you in advance.

I’m trying to find a set of wire baskets to hang in my kitchen, but ideally, they would be a very specific size. I can’t find any way to search Amazon for the least expensive set of 4 that is *about* 11 inches wide *about* 6 inches deep and *about* 5 inches tall.

Is there any sub where people like to hunt or let other others know if they happen to have seen what we’re looking for?

Exactly what the subject asks.

More and more frequently, either the post button is grayed out despite my post satisfying all of the criteria in the info blurb, or it is immediately deleted.

It has happened repeatedly in a very popular sub that I would love to be a part of, so I inquired.

This is the the exchange so far (redacted). I’ll include my initial message in comments so that everyone can see that I was courteous, etc.

In this case, I posted an open-ended question to ask for examples of words or phrases that follow certain criteria, based on an experience I just had last night.

As stated in my reply, my profile shows MANY years of original posts and comments, and I came by every single Karma point 100% honestly through tons of interaction.

It’s frustrating to not be able to join the party when I haven’t done anything wrong and I have no history of or intention of doing so.
