I’m due in 2 months. My 1st born will be 19 months.. I’m being asked “did you set up the nursery yet?” And I’m annoyed because what the hell needs to be set up ???? Lol first of all, we also just moved. I literally just did this newborn sh*t with my 1st born and all we really needed for the first 3 months was:
- bassinet
- baby dresser
- changing pad/station

Obviously diapers yes. Newborn clothes, swaddles, etc.,I have them in a storage bag & plan to wash them closer to due date.

The bassinet is already in the room along with baby dresser. Changing pad there. Am I being overdramatic with being annoyed lol or am I actually missing things/not being proactive enough? Thx

Someone I met at the park a few times lmk she’s selling food. She sent the menu, I selected that I wanted 1 meal which was $13. On the menu was dumplings - $13 , dumpling noodles -$13 , and rice bowl - $15. I ordered dumplings alone. She then asked if I wanted a side of noodles to come with it. I said yeah sure.. thinking that she was throwing in noodles as a side , as a courtesy I guess. She never told me the total, so I assumed it was $13 for the dumplings and maybe a few dollars extra with the side of noodles. When I said “okay I’m sending over the $13” she said “oh that’s only for dumplings alone” I asked“so what is the total” she said “$26.” I said I don’t have that & can only afford the dumplings alone. She said no problem. I sent the $13 for the dumplings alone.

When I saw her in person to get the food she handed me the dumplings AND a full meal with chicken, veggies, and the noodles. I was confused. She said “take it take it ! I make everything fresh to order I already had the noodles ready. You can give it (the money? ) to me whenever don’t worry about it I said ??? Thanks so much? Took both containers.

We spoke hours earlier that day, so if you made the meal fresh to order (she lives a 2 min. drive from me) then you had ample time to NOT make the additional noodles correct ?

Now, mind you I already said I don’t have the $13 .. she sends me a menu today of different foods. I said “I’d love to support but I don’t have it right now” she said “oh don’t worry I will just add it to your list. Tell me what you want I’ve got x,y,z” and starts listing menu items …… I texted back “add to my list? 😭”

So, did I enjoy the food? Yes. But AITAH for not wanting to pay the $13? I’m considering sending her the $13 next week bc I did eat and enjoy the noodle meal & she is raising $ for a great cause but .. once the miscommunication was clarified, I made it clear I did NOT want the noodles let alone a full noodle MEAL with proteins&veggies? I don’t want to continue doing business but AITAH for not wanting to send the $13 & for not wanting to continue supporting her business ? My husband said I should’ve given her back the container that had the noodle meal & I think I should have.
