I just bought my first robot mower, the goat 0800 rtk, and saw that it is meant to have 2m of flat ground in front of its house. How necessary is this? I was planning on building it a house under the end of my deck, but the yard slopes down from there. Think it will be a problem?

If I built the house 2m further under the deck, would it be able to find it or would the deck block the navigation?

Thinking about jumping on the robot lawnmower bandwagon. I've got a golden retriever that enjoys the occasional roll in the grass, and I'm wondering whether mulch from a mower would end up all through her coat (and walked into of the house). Anyone with a goldy can confirm/dismiss my fears?

Also, general advice welcome. Yard is about 5-600m2, southern norway. Thinking about a segway i206e or a Husqvarna Automower Aspire R6V
