How humiliating and socially unacceptable is it to quit and ask HR if you can come back?
I quit without thinking carefully, I was overwhelmed, stressed and not sleeping well, but now I can't find another job and regret my decision. It's been only a few days since I quit. I realized my best option should have been to ask my psychiatrist to prescribe me medication to help me push through the day and for my insomnia, rather than quitting altogether.
My work schedule was a mess, no social life whatsoever other than sitting at my desk for 9 hours, weekends included, but being unemployed is awfull, I'm already suffering the consequences.
I want to mention that I still haven’t been paid for the last days I worked, if that helps, and my corporate email is still active.
Appreciate any advice.
Edit: I live in a third world country that's falling apart day after day, so I can't do anything about the working conditions. I was lucky to have a job.
Edit 2: I liked my job (the activity itself), the company and having absolutely no time to do anything else was what made me feel like I was about to lose my sanity.
