Ex-coworker giving mixed signals??

So for context I’m M 18 and she is F 19. We have been flirting/playful to each other for almost a solid month. I asked her out on a date and she just wanted it to be a friend date (obviously I’m perfectly fine with that) and then seemed uninterested during the date, but told me she wanted to see me again (around those words) what do I do? My friends want me to just cut it off but I really want to see what happens. This just happened recently and as of now I’m just living my life normally and bettering myself day by day, no chasing. Is this okay to do? Any advice is super appreciated.

TL;DR: Ex-coworker flirts but seems uninterested during our date, wants to still see me

Coworker (F19) giving me (M18) mixed signals

So I recently started back working at a small fast food place I used to work at couple years back. I met this really friendly girl around my age and we hit it off pretty good (at least I believed so) a month in and we are slightly flirty with each other and I ask her out for lunch one day. She accepts my offer fast and the next day we meet up. She shows up high off her ass and seemed uninterested at first until we would lock eyes at some points in. We talk about our past (mostly me) and I get to know her slightly better, but overall the “date” went horrible as she told me she wasn’t looking for a relationship at the moment. I completely understand and accept just being friends for now. My question being why lead me on like this??? I’m not a very good looking man but I have a hell of a personality behind me, so maybe she just changed her mind last second. I’m sure she’s gonna flirt with me again and I don’t even know what to do if she does. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

TL;DR: co-worker flirts with me but seems uninterested at date, fear of her flirting again.
