KTM switch from Motul to ProLube.
I just gave my Duke 390 Gen 3 2025 for 2nd Free Service. When I checked the estimate it showed ProLube 10W50 instead of Motul. When I called the SA he told me that he has Motul for now and will be using that but from next service you’ll have to use Prolube. It is made mandatory by BAJAJ or else it’ll void warranty. I took extended warranty due to high compression engines being unreliable in long run. And…you cannot bring your own oil or use Motul instead even if it is from service centre. First the Ethanol and now BAJAJ ruining our brand new bikes. I have watched the comparison between the two and YouTubers claim it’s inferior to Motul and the high temp performance isn’t good. Can’t even choose engine oil of our choice…do we even own them? I’m thinking of draining that oil and replacing it with Motul. Is the color same? If not then can they spot I’ve replaced it with Motul? As far as warranty is concerned, it’s valid on paper that I’ve used Prolube so they can’t void it. 1k extra per oil change isn’t a big deal for me, I just don’t want my bike to overheat as I use it in traffic. I’m based in Pune and SA said at all service centres it is mandatory. Kindly share your experience. Thanks:)
