Hey there, 41 year old male almost 42 6'1 230(probably a little over that). My weight has steadily been climbing for a couple years and I really press my doctor about glp 1. He seems reluctant to write one of the once weekly options and I can't afford it right now. He came back to me recently and said that he'd be willing to write victoza and that my insurance would cover it. From what I've read online the weight loss effect is relatively minimal. Two to three percent of body fat but I was hoping to hear from people's experience. I kind of was leaning towards telling him not to bother for that low percentage but sometimes people go farther on these medicines than the people in trials. My goal weight is to get back down to 208 but my dream is to get back down to 180. Can people tell me if they think it's worth it?

So I think it's important to preface and say that I'm not a young person I'm almost 42. There are at least two guys in my neighborhood who have profiles that have either no stats or very few stats and no ages on either. They'll message you try to get you chatting and then pivot to the "what are you looking for" "horny"conversation. They never offer face pics or any pics. The idea is that hopefully you're horny enough, you come to their house without asking for pictures and then when you get there you're too horny to reject them at the door. I know this because both of them have tried to do this to me. They've invited me over without ever providing pictures. I of course pressed them for stats and pictures. The one guy relented and sent me a face picture and the other sent me a body picture so I roughly know their ages.

If this works for them I guess it's none of my business but as someone who's rapidly aging I feel very weird about it. I personally want everybody to know my age and what I look like and what my stats are. More so as I've gotten older, I don't really want to talk to people who aren't interested in me for who I am now. Also, I personally can't imagine wanting to risk being rejected in person at your door. Rejection online is painful enough sometimes much less right to your face.

I'm 42, 6'1 230lbs now (217 lbs at blood work) I got some blood work at a urologist last Summer and assumed it was all good because I never heard anything from them. I happened to open up my patient portal for a follow-up visit and saw my testosterone test results. Been trying to figure out the source of my fatigue for a while and have not been able to get my weight to go the opposite direction. I wouldn't say my libido is very high right now but normalish sometimes. I'll see the urologist again in 4 weeks what question should I be asking? Should I try to twist my PCP arm to do some testing ahead of time?
