Tula Standard Infant Insert Questions

So my LO is 9 weeks old, decent neck control but by no means stable for more than a few minutes upright, he seems tall for his age. When he's in the insert with the pillow, his butt snug against the back of the pillow, the insert is only just coming up to his ear and I'm worried it won't be high enough much longer. I don't see a good way to keep the insert in without the pillow and would say he needs the extra support. How far does the insert's edge absolutely have to reach on his head? And if he outgrows the pillow, is there anything I can do besides waiting until his neck is developed enough?

Second question is, how the heck do you breastfeed in the carrier with the full insert?? I can't get him low enough without just straight up unbuckling the waist strap, the pillow seems in the way. Am I just doomed to take him completely out until he outgrows the insert?

Thanks in advance!

How has everyone handled them? I'm seeing differing opinions on whether to give any calpol before or just after, I also heard that breast milk helps with pain and to feed to baby right before the vaccines (ebf here), is it just before or an hour before or what? I'm probably gonna end up giving him some right after the appointment in the waiting room too. And do you give Calpol to them for 24h after even if they've no fever?

Any advice or experience would be appreciated 🙏
