Recent convert. Have I been having shit coffee this whole time?

Ive been using a stainless steel moka pot for a week now. The quality of coffee and ease of use is far beyond what I expected and i’m using some ground coffee from amazon (ily intenso ground coffee). Is this honeymoon phase or is “commercial” coffee just horrible?

I always drank Americano, ive tried decent coffee houses for £4-£5 Americanos but they didnt taste much better than a nespresso from the office.

The best coffee ive had was made by friend, they had a whole process. It was just smooth. I didnt think I could get close to that with a basic moka setup.

I was never a big coffee guy, I drank it to stay focused and if I need a warm drink but stronger than tea. I prefer chai/tea naturally because I actually like the taste. Coffee always tasted bitter or sour to me.

Is this how it’s meant to taste? Almost like dark chocolate without the sweetness is the best way i’d put it.

Basically the title. If we get divorced after we both the ILR based on my Skilled Visa and their Dependent Visa, will that impact the route to citizenship?

I assume they can get ILR the same time as me and thats not dependent on me from then on?

I just got into videography and exiting. My set up is fairly limited. I usually post footage of myself playing sports, kind of like a content creator I guess.

My friend started a community in the sport we play and asked me to help them with shooting and editing content for their socials. I thought it was a great opportunity as I get to practice it and have an audience.

It doesn’t cost me much because of my limited set up, iPhone to shoot, wireless mics, some mounts/tripods and a gimbal for various shots and angles. Editing on iPad.

I pay for capcut but moving off that to davinci resolve.

My friend doesn’t tag me or give credit and I never asked but he said he got great feedback on the work and wouldn’t tell people who did it as they would “steal me” for their business. That struck me as a little odd.

Their type of content is fairly limited. Sometimes they will send me footage and ill do a quick edit and send back. Takes me about 30 mins. This is maybe once every 2-3 weeks.

They want to up their socials to two posts a week. I have a day job and cant make it all the events. So I found it harder to edit their footage has it has no purpose just random angles, random shot of varying quality. Sometimes compressed over whatsapp and shared (although ive suggested other methods).

Should I just call it off, ask for at the very least that they tell people it’s my work or tag me or maybe just keep doing it according to my schedule, not theirs?

I don’t want to burn bridges because they are friends and apart from this, there’s never been any issues. Even when I say I dont have time for this they never take it personally. They just say send it whenever you can.

Also, its great practice and its not like I have people lining asking to me collab on things (yet)
