I (26f) have 2 best friends, one let’s call N (24f) and the other M (27f).

On N - I met her last year, and we’ve hit it off since then, live in the same area and meet pretty regularly, once a week.

On M - known her for 10+ years, very strong bond, but we meet like twice a year. This has worked for us till now since both understood each others life situations. She lives in the same city, but much further away.

I met M the other day after many months; spent an afternoon in the city (we travelled) and had a great time. I wanted to post a story (I don’t do this often) because i was so happy. But N has shown signs of possessiveness in the past, so i hesitated. She also really wants to travel to the same area that M & I went to, but since I meet her so regularly, i genuinely don’t have the bandwidth. I work a very demanding job. I do make time once a week usually without fail since the last 3 months, since she expressed that she wants to see me more often (she’s the only friend i do this for). Before that me & N would meet twice a month ish.

I don’t know what to do. I feel bad that I couldn’t post it without being scared of her reaction.

AITA for not travelling to hang out with N? Am i being a bad friend?
