There is no prize at the end of the game. There is nothing final about getting to the current max level because they will just add another one soon enough to restart the grind. The grind IS the reward.

Play because you enjoy the gameplay. Or not.

But don’t play because you think there is some magical point at which you will have won the game. Because there isn’t. You are just gonna play until you die.

We haven’t yet taken the plunge but I have been constantly socializing the idea with my wife and she is increasingly positive towards the big purchase. I am unsure if I will get her all the way to full EV or if the first (of two) vehicles will need to be a PHEV, but the next car (prob within a year or two) will be an EV of some sort - though I do have some concerns about a PHEVs that run two systems in parallel.

Regardless - my question is actually about the factors the drive battery life. I wanted to ask the folks with real world experience in Canada about what has the most impact on the life of their batteries:

- age of the battery (does it just degrade over time as a function of getting older?)

- charging habits (does full vs partial charging impact lifespan?)

- number of charge/deplete cycles (somewhat related to the previous item, but it is strictly about whether or not there is a “finite” number of charges in the battery regardless of % before and after charging)

- environmental factors like Canadian-cold temps (I know temps affect short term performance but are there any lasting impacts on battery life?)

Open to any other intel re things that might influence battery life. Basically want to start off on the right foot when it comes to charging habits. Thus I don’t want to be plugging it in for a 5-10% top up if it turns out that degrades the battery more than deeper depletion cycles, etc.
